No. it will only work with the most current patch

There was a small patch just put out that fixed a client crash. no new update is needed.

I don't have a mac to test this, but I believe there is a fix somewhat like this for mac only two threads down.

It broke in the latest patch.

I don't have any plans to work on a MAC version as i don't have a MAC. If someone wants to try and find a working way on MAC I'm happy to help.

When I try this with the MPQ's I downloaded a black DOS window pop ups then WoW opens but when I try log in I get this message

This application has encountered a critical error:
ERROR #131 (0x85100083) File Corrupt
Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
File: Character\NightElf\Male\NightElfMale.m2

If anyone could shed some light on this I would be grateful thanks

Is the DOS Window staying open? or closing after wow opens?

If it is closing by itself it is failing to write to the memory - make sure you have admin privs on your pc and also make sure you are using the latest fix (Patch 2.1.0)

I'm not too sure what you mean by "WoW Version 2.1 Build 6729" but I have the latest WoW running, I also have the patch fix too which is what is closing.

Open WoW & look on the bottom left hand corner for your version info.

ah yeah I do have that, can't understand why it's not working then :S

EDIT: Nevermind I found it was process guard not letting the program work it's stuff thanks for the help though
