Confirmed working on US, I did it through a ticket too.

Asked GM if there was any way I could get the Grinning Reaver mount for Christmas, having played for 5+ years and paid for countless stupid shit. The GM told me they couldn't give me the mount because it was for charity, I said ok and asked for a race change (human pvp racial OP) and was granted it.

Ich hab von meinen Freunden gehört, dass es von Blizzard kleinere Geschenke gibt für längere Aktivität bei WoW. Ich hab mich gefragt, weil ich ja mit diesem Account seit 04.08.2008 spiele und vorher schon meinen Jäger auf meinen Bruder seinen Account ([email protected]) gespielt hatte und diesen dann rübergetranst habe und das meiner Meinung nach schon eine längere Zeit ist, ob für mich auch so ein kleines Präsent vorhanden wäre.

Ich würde mich nämlich, va. zur Weihnachtszeit jetzte, über einen Servertransfer von meinem Todesritter von FdS auf Eredar rießig freuen, um meiner Gilde nachzuziehen, was ich bisher "nur" mit meinem Jäger gemacht habe.

It all depends on the GM. There are certain things they're allowed to do, and certain things they aren't allowed to do. And for certain things it will depend on how long they've been with Blizzard and how likely their boss is going to look into what they did and ask questions.

Here's what I mean: a brand new GM that's been with blizzard for 2 weeks, is going to be scrutinized for everything they do, especially if it involves giving a player items, name changes, or race changes for free. They are going to be less likely to do anything for you to go 'above and beyond' because they may get in trouble for it if their supervisor doesn't agree with them. So for example I once put in a legitimate ticket to try to reclaim a character name that I knew was inactive on my server. The GM responding to my ticket told me that the name is indeed inactive on my server, but that the name itself is now considered a restricted name, and he could not give it to me anyways.

About 6 months later I was at Blizzcon and chatting with a GM at the customer service booth, because last year they had free Blizzard hats at the GM booth (also worth noting, the GM's that work blizzcon are mostly all senior GM's which is relevant to my point). This year they didn't have any free stuff to give out, but the GM asked if there was anything he could do for me in game. I said somewhat jokingly "Not really, unless you can change my character's name to <excluded>. and I started telling him the story of it being available but another GM said it was restricted and he couldn't give it to me. this GM asks me my battle.net account, starts typing some stuff into his computer and says "ok, it's done". It was honestly pretty much the highlight of my Blizzcon trip this year, the name I got is really awesome, only 15 players in the world have the name, and I'm the only active 100 with it, and nobody else can get this name anymore unless they go through a GM like I did and get one cool enough to do it even though they probably aren't supposed to.

TL;DR. there is a lot of stuff GM's can do, but your results will vary depending on their mood and how long they've been a GM which equates to how much they can get away with. That's why GM exploits aren't allowed in the exploit section.

In my opinion, that GM was a moron. NONE of the price of the Reaver mount goes to the Red Cross, ONLY the cost of the pet... so your GM was spreading misinformation. They only grant $10US to the charity. The pet costs $10, the mount costs $25. The bundle of the two together is $30. Still only giving $10 to the charity. Nothing on the mount goes to Red Cross.

Just wanted to clear that up if other GMs try to say that as well...... not to mention a previous poster said they DID get the charity pet for free.

I am here today to announce that this WORKS! 100% confirmed. I did NOT use live chat. I put in a ticket, not gonna post the transcript here but I got 3 battle pets. Not 1, not 2 but 3 battle pets. Holy ****ing shit. It was a struggle for me though because the ticket took 3 days and im a Honorbuddy user. So I went without HB for 3 days in fear that the GM was gonna popup when I was asleep.

You have nothing to lose, worst you're gonna get is a "NO" and in my case I made out like a bandit. I am a happy camper. Thanks!

Has anyone who bought 9+ Vendor Mounts before they went account wide, ever asked for some kind of reimbursement? I am just curious. I haven't, but I know someone who has bought over 30 of them.
