I live chatted with gm and he said it was not against the rules. He said that blizzard does not support this for example (If the name seller scams you or something blizzard won't support the buyer)

That's essentially what I was told and what the blue posts said, hence why I believe the GM handling Elo's case was inexperienced/new.
