[Question] Average Tor speed?

Whats everyones average speed for when they use tor?
I get around 40secs+ to load a page and that can be annoying when i need to buy something fast with paypal
Is that speed normal, anyone get anything faster?
And are their any better options?

lol i get about 20 secs to load a page right now and im like god this is f00kin slow but in the morning normally it does it in less than 10 secs and im on 8mb broadband so I dunno, but if the tor speed is too slow just click use a new identity
