[Lock] Free shard

Well, ive been doing this on my lock for a while, and i thought id share it... maybe common sense but... u know the warlock quest Trolls of a Feather(Thottbot World of Warcraft: Quest: Trolls of a Feather) which has a staff, robe or -trinket- as rewards.
If u choose the trinket, u can get a free shard by using it, putting the vw on stay, go away from him until he despawns. puff free shard.
u can also get a free pet summon with this if u have a demon summoned and u want to summon something else without losing a shard.

Not further than like, level 20 or something.

Affliction gets imp for a mana battery, or succ for some extra dmg quickly.
Demo will use imp/suc for their damage, seeing as you won't be doing as much, and eventually felguard.
Dest will probably go with imp/suc as well, more burst damage.

You fail as a Warlock if you do not use your Voidwalker. I'm affliction, and yes, the imp mana battery is nice, but only in instances. While farming, you send void in, dot the mob, fear it, move onto another one. Never lose any life/mana with the occasional drain soul.

Even with demo, a Voidwalker tanks much better then Felguard...

well, i leveled my lock to mid 40s, and cant really remember even using the vw that much. imp is much better i think, and then felhunter when u get it.

As a 70 warlock (Blackpoet on Graymane) i can say you are wrong (then again, it is your opinion, which would make it right to you, but in general that is not right :P) i have been every spec, as aff. the imp is better, even w/ improved VW i can pull agro very easy. Now about VW tanking better than a FG that is not true FG one has taunt like the VW but (this is why it is better) puts out ALOT more DPS than the VW, which makes it actuly hold agro when the mob isn't taunted. I honestly find +70 stam is alot better than a big fat blue blob siting ther and hitting the mob for around the same amount as my imp would (since imo vws suck so much i haven't used on in forever, so i forget exactly how much dmg the put out). And as destro....well if i can pull agro easy as Aff. i don't think i need to go there :P

When Playing anything everyone has Diffrent Tactics this is just one persons tactic and anyway the Way hes saying is you can get a free Shard for other pets. so either way this would help.

yes all true i use the trinket all the time since im uber smart and forget to make new shards the hard way

hummmmm... before they made lock pets despawn when on a mount and spawn after a u dismount u use to get a shard from running away from your lock pet anyway
