Preparing for 5.4

Seeing as we have 5.4 right around the corner I might as well remind you to stack up on materials which will increase in price once 5.4 launches, these items are:
Ghost Iron Bar
Ghost Iron Ore
All herbs
Trillium Bar
Living Steel
Starlight Ink
Spirit Dust
Mysterious Essence
Sha Crystal (However I don't think the price will change much here)
Ink of Dreams
Trillium Ore
All useful gems (Use WoWuction - WoW Auction House, EU - Alexstrasza / Alliance or Best Gems for 5.3 Mists of Pandaria of World of Warcraft - WoW Popular - Filter by Gems to find which gems are useful, most of them will remain the same in 5.4)
Golden Lotus
Flasks
Most meat and food
Banquets

Blacksmithers will receive new endgame patterns which require ghost iron bars and trillium bars. The herbs will be used for flasks for the upcoming raid, as well as new glyphs to come, golden lotus will be used for flasks and transmutations, gems will sell well because lots of people will get new gear, flasks, banquest, food will be used for raids and the meat is required to cook these. the starlight ink and ink of dreams will be used to craft glyphs however I don't think these will be as interesting as the rest. Enchanting materials will be used to enchant all the new gear.

Remember back in the days when I never thought of doing this shit as I were too impatient to buy one day and sell a few days later, but the patches, especially one like this, is simply amazing, planning to rake in 90-100k pure profit by just buying and stocking up.

I will never forget the Cata patch, when they made the glyphs learnable - made over 50k in the 1st night, by clearing a guildtab full of glyphs!

atm im sitting on some 30 decks ready to be sold. Not sure if I should do it now or when 5.4 comes.
Also i havent read anything related to PTR so i dont know if you will be able to crate/make new decks ( DMF cards ), if you will be, then will you use old scrolls or something new?

There will be no new DMF cards! DMF Trinkets will always be the first tier of epic trinkets.

The new engineering mount (which everyone and their mother is going to want) coming in 5.4 will require 30 living steel bars along with 30 of a bop mat engineers make. Going to require a lot of living steel/ghost iron/trillium

Only problem I can see with 5.4 stockpiling is that lots of servers will merge together in virtual realms or whatever its called; that means you will suddenly have many more players on your auction house. I have never ever stockpiled before though, and want to do it because of the gold making opportunities, but the realm merging thing (especially on a lower-end med server like mine) is a worry and is putting me off stockpiling. Any thoughts on this?

Stockpiling for 5.4 will be great, more buyers, I'm just worried about AH bots, otherwise I'm fine, but selling in /trade usually works great when it's in bulk.

They stated in a blog post that their Virtual Realms (now called Connected Realms), will not be ready for 5.4.
