So you buy a battlechest account for 5 bucks, and then recruit a friend to yourself from the battlechest account? Does this work on already existing accounts? And what's the unfreeze code for?

It unfreezes an account, because you need to have an active account to RaF it. So if you want gametime on your account that currently doesnt have it, you unfreeze and then RaF

You just recruit yourself. You can use a new email or the same one you have on your battle.net now.
After you do that you get an unfreeze code because thats simply a 30 day gamecard & put it on the Raf account
That gives you a free month on your MAIN account & it will not get removed.

I do this on my main account. I do not let my main account get frozen. The unfreeze is just a cheap way to get the month on your main account from the Battlechest you add.

i bought some times RaF gametime from sellers! Once Blizz removed it after 4 days but the seller gave me compensation (another RaF time). And it wasnt removed.

I bought 5 Battlechests from this promo (5 euro/each) and i will buy "unfreeze" code for 2k gold to RaF myself And after 30 days free gametime (some lvl 80's and RaF leveling my own alts fast) i will wait 3 months and SoR these accounts to Cata and sell it or sell it before SoR... I know i could sell it min 5 euros/each, so i will get my money back, i get 2k gold/month gamtime and i can multiboxing some alts to lvl80!

buying an unfreeze code from a RAF seller is the exact same way they sell you RAF time
minus the battlechest of course....

in my opnion this is just a more expensive way of buying raf time and it WILL get removed (because of the unfreeze code... as soon as that unfreeze code "expires" blizz will remove the RAF time)
these RAF times are sold by purchasing the gametime and then charging back all transactions..... the reaoson it gets removed in "waves" is because that is the date the chinese seller filed their chargebacks.

The chinese selllers file their chargebacks weekly and then quickly use a different card (they have thousands as laws are very different there)

so the length of time you get to keep your RAF time simply depends on how long it has been since the seller filed their last round of chargebacks

each card is good for about 2 rounds of chargebacks and then they simply dispose of the card and move onto another one

There's always a chance it can get removed if the gametime added isn't legit. I've had gametime retracted in a legit situation when the payment for the gametime was declined.

On the removal of RAF sellers gametime - i started to use it on 2 accs year ago (mid-januar 2012), bought 2x annual passes. All went well till mid-april when 1st removal wave hit, and all months were removed from both accs. Must be because D3 was about to come. Then i paid one month in legal way, on both of them. It was may. Starting from june im buying RAF gametime from chinese guys found here in the market section and havent had any problems. Just buy only 1 month at a time and try not to buy it from one guy 2 months in a row, dont open tickets or do anything that would drag GMs attention :P sorry for OT.

I didnt mean to imply i was talking about this method i was referring to the various posts regarding the raf time sellers

I had this idea in mind too, but i din't knew if this kind of "game times" have same high chances to be removed same as normal Raf or not hehe.
But since we pay the battle chest prob the chace to keep the game time is higher ^^
Also if you are a gold sellers/buyer/ect you can even use that Battle Chest for various exploits or to sell/buy gold or sell those vanillas for 2-3 bucks or simply gift it to a friend... So in the end is something extra we get except the "game time" .
