When i used this a year ago or so my char just got locked but didn't transfer back to main realm. Was that changed? So that they just transfer it back but don't lock it? Cause when its locked i can't delete it and can't play with it and that sucks.

Theres a much easier and less risky way to do this. All you need to do is Have toon A. and Toon B. Toon A has all the BOA and toon B is on a diff server. Go to battle.net and put in a ticket say the toon names and servers they need to verify its you and they can transfer the boa gear. have had it done before

ive done it this way 2-3 times now, definitely works

Doesn't this overdraft your bank account and thus (at least with most banks) incur a significant charge from the bank?

Every time I've tried to Xfer a toon without funds, blizz just says "not gonna happen" pretty much on the page for transferring.

You could put in the wrong zip code, I did this on accident a few months back after I had moved.

Got to play my character for a few hours, logged off and it had been locked. Just sent a ticket and had it sent back to the original server. I'd assume it works the same way.

only if your bank account allows that. most student-type accounts doesnt allow you go under 0.

Anyone got some help on this one? I could REALLY use this. I have the char on the other server, but it just says I can't log into it with this error, "You cannot log in until the character update process you recently initiated is complete".



Any help would be great. Info on how people got it working like:
What payment method did you use?
Did you try multiple payment methods?
Was there a certain order in doing things?
How long until the character was able to be logged into on the destination server?

Any of that info would be great. Thanks

Sorry for the late response, yes your toon will get locked up (normal) thats when you submit a ticket (or call, if you're inpatient) and tell them you can't log on. "musta been because I didn't have as much money in my bank as I thought I did, oops"

The character is on 2 realms. The old one and new one.

Its possible that its because you weren't on during your window of opportunity. you gotta log in every 20 mins after "paying" until you can play your character on the new realm. Either that or it hasn't transferred yet.

Very,very useless guide tho.Basically what you forgot to say is that:
First your character will get locked 100% just standart procedure.
Second you have to somehow find and scam a very stupid GM to actualy unlock both of your toons,not just cancell the payment.
Third if you have luck with the previous step you have to log every few mins or even seconds cuz the unlock wont last long.

Just did this yesterday!! Just use bank transfer instead of credit card/pay pal, with no money, to ensure you dont pay it when you go back with your transfered char!

PLUS , the items i sent after being transfered, when my char went back to my realm, the gold and heirlooms i sent to my lvl 1 toon in that new realm GOT DUPED!!

--> How i did it : Had 11 90s in my realm. Sent heirlooms + 1k gold to my druid -> transfered it to new realm -> waited 20 mins for being able to log with him -> as soon as it was done , loged on my druid in the new realm , sent my items to a lvl 1 on that realm -> waited 20 min more -> Open ticket : "I xfered my char but as soon as it got in the new realm i noticed i had no money in the bank since i had to pay my phone bill , please revert the change since i'm not able to pay for it now ,i will manually try again when i get the money".

Today my druid was back in my original realm , WITH ALL THE HEIRLOOMS and the 1K GOLD. Amazing

EDIT : tho this was my very own experience, and this doesn't has to always be like this, i was able to log in my druid in the new server for several hours (1,2 maybe 3). I didn't had the same chars in the 2 realms at the same time, as soon as after 20 min the transfer got completed, my druid got moved to the new realm and i was able to log, and got 1 char space in my original realm. This happened in Europe servers.
