Not trying to Necro. But this does work. I have done this SEVERAL times. The first time was to get the mats for my Legendary Hammer, After that I did it at MoP release for Blood Spirits. 3 weeks ago for Haunting spirits. On my realm they go for 11-15k. On Illidan like 4k. So I always transfer to a high pop realm with 100-200k. Buy up all the spirits I can. Then wait on my toon to get locked. Ticket, Transfer back. Sell my mats and spend my gold on useless crap.

Just did this yesterday!! Just use bank transfer instead of credit card/pay pal...

How can you use bank transfer? I only have Pay pal or credit card option. May this be because I am from The Czeh Republic, that I don't have bank transfer option?

Can anyone confirm that this still works? Anyone who managed to do it lately? I am still trying, but after 20 mins the "payment" there are 2 characters on old and new realm and I can't log onto either ot them. Both are locked, says I cannot log until the transfer process is finalized, etc etc..

You can do a Guild Transfer, and put money in the guild bank, over the 50k cap. This transfers the guild master + the guild the the new server.
I'm not sure what happens to the guild after a refund though.

Hey, so I can across this method by accident. I purchased a realm transfer, but didn't have enough funds in my bank account to pay for it. The character was transferred anyway and immediately I dropped off my heirlooms onto another character and logged out. The next day I was no able to play the character I had transferred, so I called them up and they told me I'd be transferred back to my original realm, and that I'd have to pay again when I had the funds in my bank. Logged on 10 minutes after the call and my character had been transferred back to my main realm.

tl;dr: transfer character with heirlooms while not having the appropriate funds in your bank account.

God it is so obvious that this does not work, simply because everything is logged. Every purchase, every chatword, everything. And GMs have a rather large access to all of this if it is required for your issue. A GM will then look into it and see if you have had a server transfer previously or not.

The response down below, the friendly one with "that it is not possible at this time" - is simple the answer translated down from what other people would say along those lines: "Dont try to troll us. We know you tried, we are not angry at you, now move along."

Funny story... this might work in 1% of all cases when you have a numb GM on the other end or one who is completely new to the business.

sry for digging this, but i cant make it work i get the u cannot login until the update is done etc... my character is duped on the servers but i cant login. i tried exactly after the "payment" and every 5mis for 3 hours. any help ?

necroing to confirm that poster is full of shit. just tried twice with 2 gms and there response is "blah blah blah were cheap douchenozzles and want you to pay 40 dollars to transfer a character so you can have heirlooms on a new server"

thinking about doing it, dropping my shit off, then telling them i dont like the new realm and asking them to undo and add the gold to Bnet balance.

Theres a much easier and less risky way to do this. All you need to do is Have toon A. and Toon B. Toon A has all the BOA and toon B is on a diff server. Go to battle.net and put in a ticket say the toon names and servers they need to verify its you and they can transfer the boa gear. have had it done before

I certainly understand wanting to send Bind on Account items cross servers to help lower lever toons you might have there. Many other players such as yourself request this as an option in game as well. At this time, outside of a server transfer, there is no way to send Bind on Account items across different servers. The reasons are many but the basics are that it is not a function able to be in the game at this time because of the ways servers are set up. However a recent change was made where you could send BOA items to characters on the same server but across your Bnet accounts if you have more than one WoW account.

We are always watching and evaluating exactly how each part of the content and game work though. And we are always looking to polish and perfect everything we can.

Anyone know if this still works? and btw i can only pay by PayPal or Credit Card, there isn't the bank transfer. I have my old main with 70k golds but i dont play on that server anymore
