Find Private gold buying clients

Finding private gold buyers is something that many botters struggle with and end up having to sell their gold to Chinese companies for 1/4 of the value and risk getting a ban due to trading with a crummy ip address.


Sure you can post on multiple forums but a lot of the time, getting enough buyers this way is very slow.

This is what you do.

1. Go to your AH
2. Go to trade goods and sort by price
3. Check if there are any items selling for ridiculous amounts e.g. 5x linen cloth for 4k each
4. Add the seller to friends/whisper them/write in game mail
5. Be polite and say something like I will give you half the price


Other common items are bandages/cheap enchant mats/ whatever/
and there you have it!

May be useful to some. I know that I was struggling to find buyers up until just yesterday but I have found a few now.

and why would those people who put these ridiculous auctions on the AH want to buy gold? I dont see the connection...

they put items up for such prices to have a means of transferring the gold im guessing. you just find whoever has it up for high prices and ask away.

They are BUYING GOLD WITH REAL MONEY the linen cloth is essentially worthless.

Transferring gold via the AH is a common method for buying gold from companies. If you don't understand, then this guide has no use to you whatsoever to be bluntly honest. This guide is only useful to people who are RMTs

They are most likely buying gold at e.g. $2.20/k, you tell them you will sell gold to them at $1.00/k or whatever your rate is

Im actually surprised anyone would transfer the money via the AH (which is the most overlooked transfer base by Blizz). face to face is much safer. Heck, even Mailing is safer!
But now that I know it, your guide makes perfect sense ofc.. thanks for that.. I will try it tmr since Im really looking for a private buyer.
And yea.. no need to be rude if you post a guide n try to help ppl.. might as well explain it in a mannered way!

AH is a good way to transfer gold because it means both players don't have to be online at the same time to transfer, just so you know for future reference

This is pretty smart but the way i see it,it contains a suspension risk.
Your main account can be reported whether you mail or /w him offering to sell gold.If you dont use your main account and dont care much,well there are other,more efficient ways of advertising i guess.

Unless there is a way to counter this,seems like a high risk methodology to me.

Usually I begin by asking why they have listed the price high.
Then I test the waters and ask if they know and gold sellers
If I get the slightest hint in the conversation that they buy gold, I go in for the kill.
I also have an account I primarily trade gold on

Just ask them if they can talk to you on Skype. Then on Skype give them your sales pitch.
