Money making with herbalism !

Alright. First off, let me say that you have to have Herbalism for this, and you have to be relatively well geared.

Location: Skettis

Strategy: In Skettis, there are 4 71-72 Elite Trees that spawn in 4 unique locations. The locations are always the same, which means you can predictably make a circuit killing these trees and you will know where they're going to respawn every single time.

What you're going to do is go to each of these four trees, and solo them. Once they're dead, and you loot their bodies, they become "herbable". When you herb each of these trees, they will drop:

* 2-5 Motes of Life
* 2-5 Random Herb
* 2-5 Another Random Herb

Which means on any Tree you can get anywhere from 2 to 5 motes of life, and from 4 to 10 rare herbs.

The herbs that the trees drop include -- Felweed, Dreaming Glory, Ancient Lichen, Terocone, Mana Thistle, and Black Lotus (Black Lotus is a lower droprate tho)

Now. When I farm these, i can effectively solo one, herb it, and move to the next. In the time that i've cleared all four of the trees, the first one is just respawning, which means that i can make a continuous loop kililng these trees constantly.

I timed out an hour for myself, and circuited through skettis, killing and herbing these trees constantly for the whole hour. By the end of my farming hour i came away with 9 or 10 Primal Lifes, and a ridiculous amount of herbs.

I went to the Auction House, put everything up.

Primal Lifes on my server sell for anywhere between 11g to 15g. That alone is between 110g and 150g. On top of that, generally after an hour of farming i'll net almost two stacks of felweed, almost two stacks of Dreaming Glory, and then between 15 and 20 of each terocone, mana thistle, and ancient lichen. Those herbs alone would add easily 50g.

If you want to squeeze even MORE money out of this, you can make your herbs into pots (i usually make my felweed and dreaming glory into super mana pots) and put those on the AH for more money.

Now. Before anyone says "F*ck up man" you cant solo those trees", you CAN. My friend and i did it (solo both on other realms to see who's making to most gold) The key to these trees is that UNLIKE most other elites, theyre susceptible to almost all forms of CC. My Fear even works on them. I do have pretty good PvP gear, so i wear that when farming, and it works beautifully.

Confirmed.

2 hour farm - 400g on Mug'thol.

Easily Solo-able on my Lock. Almost borring to see how easily they go down (for elites).

Holy Paladin for example can not do this though.
