A little money making with tailoring...

Sorry it has taken so long to me to post on here, but you guys are so damned good, that you make all of the guides before I get a chance :-)

Ok, here goes. I stumbled across a little money earner - which will be dependant on prices on your server.

    Pre Req:
    Tailoring 325
Pattern for Bolt of Imbued Netherweave
Access to a Mana Loom (located in Lower City in Shattrath) http://www.wowwiki.com/Mana_loom

    The method (1 sentence)

Basically, crafting bolts of Imbued Netherweave and re-selling for a profit.

    The method (at length)

Now, I am too lazy to go out and farm materials because I just don't have the time to do so. If you are lucky enough to be able to spend time on the mats, then the following method will be even more profitable for you.

My server prices for materials break down into the following:

    1 X Netherweave cloth = 20s (based on 4G per stack) http://www.thotbott.com/i21877

    1 X Arcane Dust = 2G http://www.thotbott.com/i22445

    1 X Bolt of Netherweave (6 x Netherweave cloth) = 1G 20s (base material cost) http://www.thotbott.com/i21840

You then combine the following at a Mana Loom (http://www.wowwiki.com/Mana_loom):

    3 X Bolts of Netherweave Cloth + 2 X Arcane Dust = 1 X Bolt of Imbued Neatherweave (7G 60s base cost of materials) http://www.thotbott.com/i21842

So - why is this profitable, as so far all you have done is spend a lot of money for materials...

I then resell the Bolts of Imbued Netherweave back on the Auction House for 12g per piece.

Man! Thats crazy, why would a tailor buy something that they can make already?

The reselling of the Imbued Netherweave is to satisfy those who need the materials for :

    http://www.thotbott.com/i21843 (Imbued Netherweave Bag - 18 slot)

and don't necessarily have a high level tailor themselves, thus have to buy the mats to get a tailor to craft for them.

I have found that selling the bolts in stacks of 4 means a quicker sale.

Sorry if none of this makes sense, but I have been turning in a nice profit over the past week or so.

Obviously, profit will vary server to server - but worth checking out the prices and availablity of Imbued Netherweave to test the water for demand.

    Happy crafting

    P.S
If you can't find any Arcane Dust - and you have an enchanter - Nertherweave Tunics, Netherweave Vests and Netherweave Belts have a nice drop rate of Arcane Dust.

that is pretty nice. is there a cooldown for this? you can also specialize in shadow, spell,or mooncloth and make money that way(these have cooldowns =O

    No cool downs whatsoever...

Have specialised in Spellcloth myself... but am using that for my Epic patterns...

But when they are finished... AH FTW!

Re: A little money making with tailoring...

i recalculated and the math is right
    Netherweave cloth:
20s x 6 cloths = 1g20s (showing how much each bolt is worth)
    1g20s x 3 = 3g60s

    Arcane Dust:
    2 x 2g = 4g

    Total:
    3g60s ( 3 Bolts ) + 4g ( 2 Arcane Dust ) = 7g60s

    Percent Yield:
    12g ( Price Item Sold At ) - 7g60s ( Cost of Materials ) = 4g40s ( Profit )

    4g40s ( Profit ) <[divided by]> 12g ( Price Item Sold At ) = .36

    .36 x 100 = 36% Yield ( The Percentage You Made )
