This works amazingly, I went there as first part of a guild event with 12 people, spread over the islands west, south and east of the main borean thundra land.

We were at ~20k when we started, so as soon as we had spread out, the critters started racking up, we went to 50k in less than half an hour and decided to go on to 100k achievement, which costed us around 20 minutes more.

For anyone wondering (I was, prehand) if this can be done in a raid (5+ people) the answer is yes. No need to stay in groups of 5

edit: There should just be a 'I wanna kill critters' post or some crap of the collected locations of these items, like the fishing post. as people will just continue to post these things.
