It catches afkers 100% of the time (No X/Y position change in a certain time, no casts, no registrar (the addons advanced frame that funnels all of the information into it for sorting and determining who has participated enough), no secondary or tertiary objectives, no tertiary or quartenary checks, etc, all are the reason it catches afkers.
It catches bots pretty well so far but takes TONS of tweaking. Guess and test, so to speak. If you remember, the new KnowItAll comes with a battleground scoring feature. The percentage average you get is compared to an average player in that group, but before, it used to give you an average in your battleground, comparing you to everyone elses score. It put the top player at 200%, the middle at 100%, and the bottom at 0%. But the problem is that it would cause a second or two of lag when you wanted to get that average, it was a staggering amount of math it had to do. Some of the new things that are coming out will have the option to do all that, even if it is so huge it could cause a second or two of screen lock ups, because it's so darn accurate.
The best part is how absolutely easy it is to catch a speed hacker. All you have to do is type /kia scan, and it will (in my version) scan every person around you that is in 'vision range', in a battleground, or even outside of one, and then catches their speed in comparision to others. Fun fact: That 177% you saw in the Pirox bots foums you so easily decided to insult me in, means he was moving at just under 14 units per second, which is how the game measures things. 14 Units per second is normal mounted speed. He could ahve been in a vehicle, or going uphill, on a 60% mount with a crusader aura, or a 100% mount with a dazed effect (or in the process of getting stuck on a rock), or many things. If anyone exceeds, say 20 unites per second, which is closing in on flight speed, while not mounted (or mounted, actually), then they are obviously speed hacking, will be caught in the scan, where it's results will be printed, and have a little button where you can click to report it to the BG. It also saves it to a text file that is the saved variables file.
There is one last great thing about this addon. If you choose to report a player yourself, OR the afk-checks auto report them for you (which I feel confident in putting in - since it has a 100% catch rate of actual non-participation), it sends out an addon message to everyone in the BG. The message makes everyone else with the addon report the same player that was reported, making it much more efficient in reporting afkers.
Don't worry though, this probably isn't coming out for a while, so you're safe.
For a few weeks, at most.
