Doesn't take very long at all really, especially if you have something like Auctioneer. It took me about 30 mins per profession.

Do what I did.

Goto WoW Professions | 1-450 WoW Profession Guides

Copy and paste the material list of the profession into Word/Excel/Notepad etc.

Go to your AH and search for each item on the list, typing in the cost of each material.

Add it up at the end (Excel makes this easy) and from there you can make your mind up if it is worth the investment.

So far I have made an Alchemy Kit for 1500G and a JC kit for just under 3000G.

I should be able to sell the Alchy kit for about 3-5k come Cata cause of the desirability of the mount. And JC kits will always be in high demand.

I did exactly this, made the spreadsheet for all crafting professions. Credits to jazman for the spreadsheet idea and to ScecnerG for the guide.

You can slowly stockpile overtime as they come up on the AH

If anyone is planning on doing this for Cata remember that you'll need mats for another 75 levels of whatever tradeskill kit you're sellign and you will have to adjust the price accordingly.

Also, if you have farming alts as most people do now.. farm some of the mats, you'll make more profit.

Yes and even some people will just want to 450 so it will work eitehr way

I'm glad I'm not the only one that had this idea.

I have an Alchemy sitting in my gbank right now. If I can find a buyer soon, I'll step up to Blacksmithing. This is a great idea and I urge more people to do it.

That was actually going to probably be my next intentions, made an Alchy kit for under 1k (yeah better believe it) I've had people inquire on my 6k price with no fits about it being expensive. Just gotta wait for the Bass to Hook the line.

Upnext gonna try BS and JC as a combo pack. I think tanks would adore that.
