How to get to that GS to raid Icc10/25

Tired of geting denied to a raid because your Gearscore is to low?, then look no further ill try to explain how to get to a high enough gearscore to join most PUG groups.

    1. What is Gearscore?, Gearscore is an addon that ranks Ilevel of all your gear together into 1 single number to easly detirmine how geared you are.

gearscore can be downloaded on curse here: GearScore - Addons - Curse

2.What gearscore do i need to raid? for Icc10/25 + Halion, youll need around 5600+ (can vary by server and group), even though u may be good enough to out dps people more geared then u, raid leaders dont give a f*ck, its all about Gearscore to them.

    3. Gearing Up, First of all as soon as you reach 80 youll want to start doing Heroics, its reccomended if your a DPS (and even healer) to find a tank in trade chat to get instant ques, instead of waiting 20min each to make it go faster, some tanks will charge, others wont.

    ----Gear to obtain----
    3/5 T9 (chest, gloves, pants) -- Badge Cost: 130
    Off-Tier Helm/Shoulder pieces -- Badge Cost: 120
    1 Ring, Casters/PlateDps get 2 -- Badge Cost: 35 (or 70)
    (select classes) Idol/Libram/Sigil/Totem -- Badge Cost: 25
Ranged Weapon (excluding hunter) Thrown/Wand -- Badge Cost: 25

Also make sure to run Heroic POS, HOR, and FOS daily to get some of the 232 items from them (trinkets, weapons, offset pieces)

    4. VOA, after wintergrasp battles put your Own group together for 10 and or 25, make sure your the only class of your class, people may frown upon this, although its better then ninjaing and no1 cares, simply run as normal and recieve loots, most people will only stay for ice, although fire is good to do for better T9.

    5. PVP gear, simply farm Honor to get the offset pvp gear, if u get to much u might be denied a group invite, so just get a piece or to, (example neck and cloak). the Wrathful offset gear only requires honor, no arena rating, and costs around 39-52k honor each and are iLvl 264, a great boost to your GS.

    6. ICC10 rep runs, this is optional but reccommended to go atleast to freindly status to get the Ilvl 251 ring, it doesnt take long and there is usally no req. to get into these groups, if not, make your own.

    7. Join a GDKP Raid ! (optional, but highly reccomended) really high pop servers and others usally have tons of GDKP raids going on from TOC25 ICC25 ext, most raids will ignore a low GS place (within reason) if they bring a pretty fat wallet of gold with them, its costly but really really helps, and u get all the frost badges.
more info on this here GDKP Run Discussion: Spread it to your Server - Elitist Jerks

    8. Last but no least some raids also require you to know the fights, and link an achivement proving so, obviously u need to know the fights, so watch tutorials online (IE; Tankspot, Stratfu , ext), but if you dont have the achivement, pick up the addon Underachiever from curse here: UnderAchiever - Automatic Fake Achievement Links! - Addons - Curse
default settings are already set and it automaticly fakes for you, just find and link an achivement that they require and link it (link it to urself first to see that it worked, then link it to the Raid Leader)

Hope this helps some people, post comments/concerns below, or additions to add, GL HF

Common sense is the least common of all the senses.
