Shadowpriest hilt farming. (PoS)

Hey, ive been farming battered hilt on my shadowpriest and decided too contribute with how i did it.
Also, i know theres another thread saying shadowpriests can solofarm it, but that only shows how too solo one mob.


Deathwhisper Necrolyte.
Tactic: If coupled with the small skeleton guys, cast shackle on him, then mind sear. The skeletons probably wont die of this, then recast mind sear on another skeleton and finish them off. (Cant cast on skeleton instantly, then the Necrolyte gets damaged.
After you killed the small adds, i usually break the shackle by doing VT+SW:P+Mindblast+Devouring plague.
(DP Last cause it does instant damage) after that i immidiately cast a shadow word: death, then cast shackle undead too interrupt his spell.
After that you will pretty much keep dots up, and recast shackle undead to interrupt his spell) My shield absorbs around 5k, i keep that up on myself all the time, since when its up i can eat one spell and dish out some extra damage without having too cast shackle undead. It hits for around 6k, so vampiric embrace + DP will keep you up.)


Wrathbone Laborer
This mob is quite easy and hard too fail on, i open with a shackle (Max range importmant), then do the vampiric touch, sw, mindblast +devouring plague combo. Spam shadow word:death every time if dots are still up.
After that u need too set your eyes on too a good spot and run too that, you should run as far as possible until dot fades, then reshackle. (Always try aiming for the instance portal area, since theres no mobs there if you cleared it) If you didnt clear much mobs, you might want too do a mindblast+mindflay at max range, then reshackle too give you some more space on the next kiting run.
Oh this mob runs slightly faster then you.

Packs of 2x Hungering Ghoul, 1x Shadowcaster, 1x Torturer.

This is the hardest pull, might need decent gear for this. What i do is i shackle one of the ghouls, then immidiately i cast VT+SW:P On the Torturer, after that i begin too kite to the instance portal. (While kiting, spam Devouring Plague+SW:P for extra damage. Also might want too use shadowfiend.
After you ran for a while, maybe 3/4 on the way too the portal, you want to shackle the other ghoul, after that i bubble myself, recast dots on Torturer, pump out as much dmg as i can, and begin running too portal with dispersion on. he doesn't hit hard so its ok, when he is dead, run out. (The mobs that look like undeads/troll you can fear, but cant fear the ghouls)
After that, its 3mobs left. Shackle one of the ghouls, dot up other one, run away and spam dw + sw:d. After im close to entrance i redot, reshield, pump out as much dmg as i can, then use dispersion and wait for mobs too kill him. After this you might want too reset, depending on your gear.
If you choose too reset, just run out, then shackle the caster, kill the ghoul. The caster is the same as the Deathwhisper Nacrolyte, just dps and spam shackle after every spell.

Will add more later, still got some mobs i haven't tried yet.

if anyone wants to try this, you can only do it on the skeleton mobs (Wrathbone Laborer) since other mobs got changed to humanoids in the latest patch.

Yea got a hilt once. And the gargoyles are probably impossible to get too since most mobs are humanoids in there now.
