Want to make millions by playing the AH? But don't know where to start?

I recently came across the mention of this little feature in a WoW guide that I was reading and thought some people might really benefit well from it.

Many people think that World of Warcraft Community Site is simply a company and community forum (especially people like me who have been playing the game for 5 years).
But over time they have been adding new little features all over the show that can really be helpful.

This one is called World of Warcraft Top Lists

This way you can see what items and what type of items are selling really well in general.

Just for example you see that a Bold Cardinal Ruby sells very well, and according to thottbot or wowhead etc it sells for 180 gold on average. But now you know that you have seen players advertising normal Cardinal Rubies ingame for 100gold each.
You make the mental click. 180gold - 100 gold - 5g tip = 75 gold profit PER gem.

The ways that this can be helpful is endless, I also found it just a really interesting feature to be able to look at what sells well in professions that I am not familiar with etc.

Hope you guys find some use out of this, don't wait for someone to TELL you how to make gold, take all the tips people give you along the way and put 2 + 2 together.


P.S. if your reply after reading this thread is something similar to:

So...you just telling us to cut gems for a profit?... fail.

Then even if you did figure out the true meaning of this thread, it would be no used to you.

Well, toplists have been mentioned in tons of guides such as WowAuctionMastery and blue print. Not sure what your talking about when it comes to gold prices. I mean, this data shows you how much of an item sold, not its price. Little confused here. If you want gold data (which is silly cause it varies from server to server soooo much) id say Alakazham is the best option for that. Not really sure on the purpose of this post with such a catchy title. Kind of makes me sad unholy.

It isn't intended to give specific prices even thottbot and wowhead won't give you accurate prices for your server.

It's simply something to help people decide what items they want to use to make money off etc.

This is very nice thinking, Ive been there looking but never thought i could use as an resource for AH. This is great to tell you what sells good and what dosnt. Think people dont understand what this really can do for you You deserve +rep x2
