How to: Make Money by an Ancient Mind Control Technique!

Hello again again again MMOwned,

Well, this is as the title implies, it implies you control a small part of the AH and use that to make profit. Before many of you say REPOST, i am aware that i and a few others posted something like this a long time ago and it is therefore outdated :P.

I'll keep this to a minimum wall of text.

Things you will need or might want to have:
Bank and AH alt
500g-10000g
A profession... maybe
Auctioneer addon
Basic motor skills
You need to NOT have epilepsy
You need to be 12 or older
You need a brain
You need World of Warcraft and all its expansions (duh)

Step 1:
First, make sure you arent a lazy moron who just wants to grind for his money or buy it from gold sites or some crap. Be 100% sure you want to do this -for at least 10 minutes- and know that this wont always work on a few items, Example: Things everyone can get anytime with no problem.

Step 2:
Go to the AH and choose a part of it you want to control. Personally, I control the epic gem trade and prices since they are both hard to get and not common all the time. You could also do Titanium ore... Rare skins... Recipes (This can make epic profits)... Or even the Pets section of the AH. Many choices, but I go for the epic gems.

Step 3:
Buy up all the stuff and replace it for your own price. Freakin common sense huh? YAY you got money!!! I'M SO FREAKIN ORIGINAL!!!

O.K. Now for the real guide (HAHAHAHAHA) That was an overview of what everyone already knows (If you didn't know any of that... your an idiot.)


Welcome to the real part of the guide, if you made it to this part I accept you and want to give you a hug. No one has posted something like this before, so enjoy because none of this is a lie. Irony.



Step 1:
Buy all of any 1 epic gem (or whatever else) in the AH and then sell it for higher money, then buy up all the other ones that are put up. You are controlling this part of the AH.


Step 2:
On the server Draenor there is a person who makes ridiculous amounts of money because of 2 ancient mind control techniques, which 1 you know of.

The first one: LYING, if you are a good liar, you can make people believe that your prices are the actual prices.

The second one: LYING (By making people feel special!) Yes, people like to feel special, so if you want to control things and make people love you at the same time, follow step 3.


Step 3:
Go to the mailbox and write something like this:


Letter of Authentication:
Thank you for buying from (your name), Your patronage is always appriciated and loved. I enjoy selling things at low prices and making people feel good about what they buy and would like to tell you that you make WoW go great for everyone!
Thanks, (your name)


Yes, I lied. Turns out that lying has worked since the beginning of time and still does, one of the few timeless things on this planet (Im rofling right now).

This makes them feel like you are a great person and will want to buy from you again. All you do is go and make one or more of these little gems and then send them to a bank alt who copies the letter countless times and then sends it back or visa versa. Then everytime (or most of the time) you make a sale, track the persons name, and then send one of these to them. AMAZINGLY, I recieved a 1500g tip from a guy who recieved this cuz he laughed. Wow. Here is ANOTHER example that I recieved.

Yes, he lied and made me laugh. This is the way to make people love you and what you sell. You can even advertise things you sell in Trade Chat so people will get used to what you are selling in the AH. Remember, people like to laugh and they come back for more laughs.


Step 4:
When you control one part of the market, like epic gems, there will be 2 kinds of people. The people who just want to sell their stuff and get it over with, and the kind that sees 1 name controlling ALL of 1 kind of gem/whatever else. They become pissed and spam on trade things like, "OMG! That dood (your name) is controling this part of the AH and making the prices SUPA high!!! WTF!?" This is something that will piss you off after he makes certain individuals go in and re-regulate the prices. This step is to teach you how to avoid that. Step 3 should stop MOST if not all people from hating you, but this is the second and decent way of controlling the other WoW players, LIE!!! WOAH!!!

This lie is inconspicuous and hard to know. Make or have 1-3 bank alts with different nonrelatedtoyourname names. Then split all the gems you buy and sell between you and them. This will detour the trains of thought on 99.9% of the other WoW players. The .1% will always be there, and might now be you, the guy who realizes someone is controlling that part of the AH after spending 4 days seeing if the names change and then solving the problem yourself.


Step 5:
Now for the part that is hard to understand if you don't read it correctly. World of Warcraft is a game that has what we can call a near perfect economy because it can not be monopolized. A portion can be controlled if the part you select is a hard supply (rare) to come by, but since it can NEVER be completely controlled by one person, you can't always hold that part of the market and will have to back out of it with your materials to give it time to recover and start the cycle again. Why does this happen? I shall explain.

All economies have what we call "supply and demand" which simply means that people get supplies to sell, and people need those supplies for other things. When a company buys up other countries and takes control of the supply and prices, they become a monopoly and have the ability to dip into their mass profits and buy up ANYONE in their way.

This is World of Warcraft however and this will not work forever (usually last between a day and a week) and therefore requires that you master a different way of control. You must create TEMPORARY MONOPOLIES in places that you pick and choose to control. I do this with epic gems and must switch to a different gem every time one of them flop and become low priced because people have stopped buying at such high prices and realized HEY those are high prices! After the prices drop because that person spazzed on trade chat and decided to take things into his own hands to lower the prices, you get out of that part of the economy and control a new one. This is the .1% that i was talking about and would love to profit off of you IF you do the stupid thing and buy the materials that appear below your own for only 1 copper or so. They will continue to put up the items for a tiny bit less than you, wait for you to buy it, and then repeat. Don't let them do this.

You have to master recognizing when your small monopoly is gonna change and explode in your face. After that you know what to do and how to control the WoW market.

As said, you can never establish a complete monopoly over WoW, but you can establish temporary monopolies and make profit off of this "trick". There are a few things that you can make a complete monopoly over, such as super rare gem recipes that you know and can create with no ones interference. This is the way of controlling your own market because you are the only one with that supply in all of WoW, but only if you have the specific profession for that. Can't call it a monopoly when your the only possible supplier can you? :O

Give yourself a pat on the back, you just learned how to be a filthy jerkwad business man, but hey, it WORKS and has since ancient times.

Well, another original guide that WASN'T about an achievement. You can say this is COMMON sense but it isn't, it's BUSINESS MAN sense. :twocents:

Go use this guide to make money... or not... depends if you are stupid/lazy/smart and want to or not want to do this. I assure you this IS the way REAL LIFE way people make loads of money and hey, your using this on people who were ALREADY sucked into a world of imagination!
