Fishing Spots

Ive been using the platforms in south Uldum for... Maybe more than a month, and been fishing more than 100k worth if fish.
Im trying out the lava-spot in Hyjal atm, as Volatile of Fires sell way better than waters

I was exploring in Deepholm and found a great fishing spot. When I searched this forum I found your post which happens to be the same exact spot.
Nevertheless, I got there without any hacks!

So for all of you who don't like to use hacks here's my hacks free version of getting there:

Just a quick note on this... you can actually mount-bug through the wall just to the left of the rock with the mining node. Still no hacks needed... but also no need to fly half-way around Deepholm.

This is, in my opinion, the best place to fishbot. As you can see in the screenshots, neither your bobber or character will ever be visible. The only downside is that I've yet to find a way to get there without using a no-clip hack. If TheWizard would look into the matter, I would greatly appreciate it. You seem to have a lot of experience with things such as this.

For those who's using "cheats" etc to get behind walls, and for those who want a simple fishing area without being seen.

Problem solved. (I do belive i'm not the first one doing this, but i'm gonna share it anyway)

First off, i'm using SFisher. Nothing else, I recomend you using some kinda destroyer addon, because there's alot of trash loot.

Downsides: you need to be heroic ready, have stealthpots/stealth abilitys. I play a mage so invis works just fine for me.

Been doing this for about 3 days or so, and yet made arround 20k gold. (SFisher ever time I go to sleep)

Enter "Lost city of the Tol'vir". Then follow the picture below how to get in place.



This was fished in aprox 5-7 hours.

uggera!! great find and post man the lavascale droprate is wayyyyy better then deepholm. got to the place on my mage in 2 invis uses not hard to get to!

ok was in need of fanthom eel and see the wonderful lost city of tolvir find so i decided to look for anouther dungeon spot! and here it is.

Dungeon
Throne of Tides

Location
Vash'ir shimmering expanse in the abyssal dephs

enter the dungeon and start fishing atthe entrance pond.

30mins of gathering and i got
25 fanthom eel
54 mudsnout
3 deep sea monsterbelly
10 deepsea sage fish
18 angeanfin rockfish
3 giant sunfish.
no luck on volatile waters atm only downside

*edit* another thign i dont know if its relevant but i switched it to heroic and the drop rate went down on fanthom eel, poped it back and i started to catch them again.

also notice that the giant sunfish was part of an acheivement called oceanographer - to catch 31 different salt water fish.

Syphilis and Uggera, you both just got +2 reputation from me. WONDERFUL fishing spots. Really appreciate this.

For Syphilis, yes I will gladly find a way to get there without hacks. I can do it easily with my fishing chair, but I will find a way for the general public. Probably just heading there from under the world via the nearest cave entrance will be my plan.

For Uggera... you drew an awesome map for people that are not Mages... but you mention that you are a Mage.... so no need to use invisibility to get through the instance... you can actually just turn around upon entry, and BLINK through the portal! (also, why do you say you have to be 'heroic ready'? Can't you just do this on normal mode?)

Looking so forward to hitting these spots!! I'm actually a master fisherman... first 525 on my realm, Salty, Magical Crawdad... the whole 9 yards.

You can, and I have been doing it on my druid. I did however notice a slight difference in drop rates between normal and heroic, and heroic seems to have a higher droprate of 'useful'/easy sellable fish. As I'm able to enter on heroic I have mostly been fishing in that mode (any stealth class can walk right by the first groups of mobs), so it may just have been the RNG screwing me over the times that I've gone in on normal mode.

so in response to your question; No, you don't HAVE to be geared for heroic but my personal experience says it's preferred for his location.

Pro tip: As a warrior you can heroic leap out of the entrance. Making it a bit easier.

I'm just glad other people can use "my spot" now haha, i've seen alot of people doing it outside the instance, and with a little help, they go inside instead :3

Haha, I'm not sure why really.. when I looked it up on wowhead, i think it said heroic on the fishing loot table, so I entered in heroic just to make sure :3
