Making money when Patch 3.2 hits

Hey there,

once the new major content patch hits, jewelcrafting will now be able to prospect epic gems from titanium ores

this means titanium ores will be going up by a lot, so it's a good time to start stacking them up if you're a miner. If you already have available funds, you'll be making a bunch of gold.

As another tip, it might be preferable to look for sellers in the [2.Trade] instead of purchasing it directly from the auction house. Why? Fairly simple, direct sellers will usually offer you a lower price compared to the AH's. Plus, as most of you knows, if there's a lot less ore in the AH, the prices will raise (supply/demand!) reducing your profits when 3.2 hits .

When the next major content patch launches we will be introducing epic quality gems and updating the perks for each profession. Please keep in mind that any of this information may see further changes before the patch launches.

The design recipes for cutting epic gems will be made available for purchase with Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Tokens and there are several ways to obtain raw epic gems:

* Prospecting Titanium Ore
* Alchemy transmutations
* Purchased with Honor
* Purchased with Emblems of Heroism



Coinciding with the implementation of epic gems and the gain that Blacksmiths will receive through their perk from these new gems, we have gone through all of the perks in every profession and increased their values to match up accordingly.

Alchemy

* The Mixology benefits from Northrend elixirs and flasks have been increased
* Added a new pattern for Flask of the North, usable by players with a high alchemy skill. The recipe is purchased from the honor potion vendor. The Flask of the North increases your spell power, attack power, or Strength for 1 hour, and is usable in arenas. It is not consumed when used.
* Endless Healing Potion and Endless Mana Potion no longer usable in arenas. Amount of health and mana has been increased, and the cooldown reduced. They are still usable everywhere else.



Blacksmithing

* No changes will be made to this profession; it will continue to have the 2 additional prismatic sockets (which can hold the new epic gems)



Enchanting

* Values on Northrend ring enchants increased



Engineering

* Increased benefits from Hyperspeed Accelerators, Hand-Mounted Pyro Rocket, and Reticulated Armor Webbing glove modifications



Herbalism

* Increased healing from Lifeblood (Rank 6)
* Lifeblood now scales slightly with maximum health
* Lifeblood no longer affected by global cooldown



Inscription

* Master's Inscriptions increased



Jewelcrafting

* Dragon's Eye gems stat bonuses increased



Leatherworking

* Fur Lining values increased



Mining

* Toughness (Rank 6) provides more Stamina



Skinning

* Master of Anatomy (Rank 6) provides more critical strike rating



Tailoring

* Embroideries improved

Hm, think its also a good idea to stop prospecting saronite and to stop stacking rare gems. Due to the upcoming high demands on epic gems, prices of rare gems will surely fall down. Thanks for the info, you got my rep for today

What will happen for Titanium Ores after patch? Why its good to mine them now if you can mine after patch too?

Many ppl think that when they say +rep your reputation is increased ;P IMO on my server where economy is ruined, ores will be cheaper than they are right now :P

patch day the epic gems will sell for alot, but im sure ore will drop down some for a week or two till it gets stable.

stack up some ore/dal jc marks now. patch day prospect/cut the epics and profit.

but i do agree its time too stop buying saronite and sell off the backstock of rare gems we all have saved up.

Why buy them from the AH when people have 100's of badges not doing anything. Save your badges buy what you need to upgrade your gear sell the rest. Wouldnt waste time on this.

If you dont want to waste your time on this then dont, but buying titanium now while it's cheaper will get you more of a profit than just using all of your badges later.
