[DK/Shaman] Safer Fishbot Leveling

Ok so, i figured id share this, since i have not heard anyone suggest this before. I also took the time to search, so there is no such thread like this.

Ok so.
This is best for DKs and Shamans because it all has to do with water walking.

As a DK you can water walk with Path of Frost. So what i decided to do, since i am leveling another toon on a new server, so therefore i need to level fishing again, was to not only put my character in the most remote place i could find (out in the middle of the ocean), but i would make him water walk near the fatigue line to get even further out.

What i did was make this macro...

#showtooltip Fishing
/cast Path of Frost
/cast Fishing

And set it as my fish casting in Mr.FishIt. So now every time i want to put my pole out, it refreshed my path of frost. At one point or another in the 10 min buff it will be refreshed no matter what, you always have the runes for it.

Secondly, if you are a shaman, you get can Glyph of Water Walking and do the same thing.

Hopefully this little bit of advice makes those of us that are paranoid about this kind of stuff feel alittle safer.

Sorry, but this is just alerting people to your botting activities even more. You can't assume every single person fishing is a botter.

How many people do you know who legitimately go that far out just to Fish?

i know around 0. But on the other hand i dont know anyone who walks out there just to check if anyone is there.
i dont beleave that your location (if someone /who you) will be
"out in the middle of the ocean, fishing". More like Dragonblight if you are standing where he is.

Nope this is the area Frozen Sea and some people often fly there for the fishing daily where you have to get some guys arm back which is inside some bloated fish that can only be catched there.

Also the Shaman-Macro isn't going to work when you don't target yourself. Either write it down somewhere so the people know or add a target=player.

About the Shaman macro. Wouldent it work if you just target urself before starting the bott. or does the bott de-select your current target?

I dont see how this even remotely makes people MORE alert to botting...
I go to the least traveled places at the furthest distances than anyone even bothers to go...
The chances of someone coming out to the fatigue line exactly where i am (more than likely on a flying mount), and me actually loading on to their screen before they kept flying somewhere else, are pretty much retarded low.

Yeah i never suggested standing right where i am in the screenshot, its simply an example.

And, sorry, i dont have a shaman, i just assumed if you dont have a target, it self targets.

A good idea, but i would probably go somewhere else. Say the far north for example. Although unlikely, people flying from BT->HF might see u.

as i am playing a priest i can add that priests can levitate to stand on water.
