[Auchion House] Profit from making elixirs

So, this is just another way ive been making gold lately.
Its easy, sells fast - and it takes very little effort.


What to craft

- Elixir of Major Agility - Item - World of Warcraft
- Haste Potion - Item - World of Warcraft
- Super Mana Potion - Item - World of Warcraft
- Elixir of Healing Power - Item - World of Warcraft
- Elixir of Draenic Wisdom - Item - World of Warcraft

These are EASY to sell, and the mats arent that expensive.



Do the math !

Lets say i want to make Elixir of Major Agility. That requires 2x Felweed and 1x Terocone.
Go look what the elixirs sells for, and what the herbs costs.

If the elixirs sells for 40g/stack (20), you dont want to pay more than 30g for herbs (never count the procs, when doing the math for the herbs).

On my server, 5 major agi sells for 12-15g. Therefore i calculate with 12g.
4x 12 is 48g. Today i bought terocone for 16g/stack and felweed for 6g stack.
That makes it approx 28g for 20 elixirs. That means i can even go as low as 7g for 5 elixirs, and still not loose gold (there will still be procs to sell..)

But ALWAYS do the math first!


What to do, and not to do

Some might not know it, but when looking for an alchemist to make you the consumables, you want to choose the right one.
Look for an elixir master for your elixirs - those with elixir mastery, will get approx 20% procs. That means you get extra elixirs, for free.
For potions, look for a potion master.

When selling, start with posting in trade channel. Its faster, and you wont looes 5% (AH cut) from selling on AH.
If not enough buyers in trade channel, post some on AH. Do not post more than 2-3 stacks of 5x elixirs at one time. Someone could easily post some cheaper, and your fee would be lost.

Lets say 5 elixirs of XXX goes for 20g on AH, then you make yours at 19g95s. Dont go 1-2g below, there is no need for that.



This is simple to do, and it might have been posted before - and some might not have seen it before now. So if you want to flame someone for contributing - go outside and play hide and go **** yourself Take care.
