Mages are the best class to boost someone with IMO (atleast through the lower level instances) because they can train anywhere from 10mobs- the whole instance and kill them quick which is what boosting is all about.
is this the cimple nto as effective athene's guide?
dunno, I didnt read athene's guide before writing this : \

hmmhm nice i would test it with a war friend
this is slower than questing
Kinda reminds me of Hobbs' runs, taking lowbies.
While i believe this _can_ work, the /fol method isn't really the best. When you follow the distance between the characters is relatively small; so the chance of the lowbie grabbing the aggro first (and thus getting squished) is quite high. The range xp is awarded at however is pretty decent so normally you can just have the lowbie follow from a safe distance.
I haven't bothered using a 70 to powerlevel yet, but i have been doing eq runs with my friends 63 while also using the joannas method, which is pretty damn quick. I've noticed that it takes around three instance kills with the 63 to match a single out of instance kill with my lowby pally.
So i can see it working if the 70 can kill 3 instance mobs faster than you could kill 1 unaided.
The point of only having 5 resets an hour does come up if your making these runs really fast. Truthfully tho; if 5 good runs gives you a massive boost it is probably worth it)
Oh and
Instances by level - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft
There are some higher instances available at the levels you mentioned.

Fast!? Nope.
best way it to do what you said in original post but have a full party with people the same level as you, so that way you get group bonus.
