Ok first things first. Hi guys, this is Unholy[S]haman here again. Since it is a pretty big and long guide I have tried to make it interesting for the reader and use different formats, pleasing spacing and layouts because I know a lot of you are here after a long day at work or what not and don't feel like reading a wall of text. I honestly did my best to try make this guide enjoyable and as effective as possible. Also I am not going to go into HUGE indepth detail on how to do certain things due to the fact that if I went any more in depth no one would read it :P . I am just going to presume that you know your away around world of warcraft, know the basics to most professions and at least have your own discretion as to where and how to sell these items.I hope that this contribution to MMOwned will be valued by many and helpful to all. (Took me about 7 hours straight to compile :/ )

*Mining and jewelcrafting calibration.*
The following maps illustrate the most profitable and time efficient mining routes to collect the items that we need.

*You will basically find the same items in Fel Iron Ore veins except for Adamantite Ore which will now be Fel Iron
Only main differences are:
+You don't get Adamantite Ore. Only Fel Iron Ore
+You don't get Eternium Ore
+You can get Motes of Fire to turn into Primal Fire
+The drop rate of Blue Gems lowers
Ok now for the real part of the guide.
I'm going to be working on the average number of ore I collect per farming session and round it off to numbers that are easy to describe and use. I will try make the figures as realistic for this simulation how ever prices do range from server to server and faction to faction.
This is what i farmed for the simulation of this guide:
-100 Admantite Ore -------7 Primal Earth
+102 Fel Iron Ore ----------4 Primal Fire
+6 Khorium Ore ------------4 Blue Gems
+68 Eternium Ore ----------10 Green Gems
*Next go to a main city and find a forge to smelt the following:*
+51 Fel Iron Bars
+34 Eternium Bars
+Smelt those two together into 17 Felsteel Bars (each bar is 3 Fel Iron Bars and 2 Eternium Bars
+Also smelt the 6 Khorium Ore into 3 Khorium Bars
*If you are a jewelcrafter or have a friend/guild mate who can do this for you, prospect:*
+100 Adamantite Ore (4 ore per prospect = 20 prospects)
+This should yield plus/minus:
----6 Blue Gems
----25 Green Gems
----20 Adamantite Powder
*OK to sum everything up so far for you we have:*
+17 x Felsteel Bars---------+7 x Primal Earth
+10 x Blue Gems-----------+4 x Primal Fire
+35 x Green Gems---------+3 x Khorium Bars
+20 x Adamantite Powder
*Now there are certain items which do not always sell well on the Auction House. So we going to vendor:*
-20 x Adamantite Powder (for 4 gold 50 silver)
*The main way a Jewelcrafter makes money is buy cutting gems and then selling them. So once again, cut them or get a friend/guild mate to cut it for you.
-10 Blue Gems (This normally adds a 10g extra value onto each gem)
-35 Green Gems (This normally adds a gold or two extra value onto each gem)
*So to conclude from our money making session we have the following:
+ 17 Felsteel Bars--------------17 x 10 gold -------------= 170 gold
+ 10 Blue Gems-----------------10 x 35 gold -------------= 350 gold
+ 35 Green Gems---------------35 x 2 gold 50 silver --- = 87 gold 50 silver
+ 7 Primal Earth----------------7 x 2 gold --------------- = 14 gold
+ 4 Primal Fire-----------------4 x 20 gold ----- ---------= 80 gold
+ 3 Khorium Bars---------------3 x 6 gold ---------------= 18 gold
_____________________________________________________________
TOTAL---------------------76 x 75.5 gold--------=720 gold 50 silver
An extra bonus would be to get an alchemist transmute Skyfire Diamond for you using:
3 x Blood Garnets------------2 x Primal Fire
3 x Azure Moonstones------2 x Primal Air
3 x Flame Spesserite
A Skyfire diamond sells for an average of 120 gold each on the Auction House.

How ever we cant take this process further and cut these skyfire diamonds using jewelcrafting into things like:
Chaotic Skyfire Diamond[/B] - Sells for 156 gold average
Destructive Skyfire Diamond - Sells for 157 gold average
Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond - Sells for 151 gold average
Mystical Skyfire Diamond - Sells for 165 gold average
Swift Skyfire Diamond - Sells for 154 gold average
Thundering Skyfire Diamond - Sells for 158 gold average

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One thing that I find my self doing a lot is farming chests. Chests to me are just so addictive because you never know what you will get in them. Shortly after I hit level 70 I was doing a quest in Shadowmoon Valley and decided to loot the chest near by... voila an epic!
That made me a pretty penny and ever since, when ever I can think of which gold making method I want to use I end up farming chests.
The reason I like chests so much is the variety of items they give you, often items that are bound to certain professions, e.g. You could be a miner and skinner, but still get herbs that normally only a herbalist could attain.
Also you normally have a very good chance of getting at least a green item, if not blue or epic!
Aside from this chests just about always yield potions and pots which I am forever blowing through
at raids and grinding sessions. This can save me a lot of money instead of buying stacks of potions
on the auction house. Also if I have more than enough I sell the left over potions which tend to sell
surprisingly high and well.
Chests only spawn where there is an accumulation of mobs. Meaning for example there will be
1-20 different chest spawn locations amongst a village of mobs, generally in places where quests
take you as well. How ever remember if you are say camping 1 chest spawn location, it won't
necessarily spawn because you wait long enough. The way chests work is the same as farming
ore and herbs. Some places only allow maybe 3 chests spawned at a time, and another chest
won't spawn even after 5 hours unless one or all of the currently spawned chests are looted.
So it wont help just staying in one location keeping an eye out while you alt-tab or do work etc.
Unless it is an independent chest spawn meaning there is only one like it in the immediate vicinity
of mobs.
Chests also give a certain coin drop, obviously the location is a variable in that equation as to
how much money they drop, but usually the higher level location the higher the money.
There are of course different types of chests like Felsteel chests, adamantite chests and so on
and so fourth.
But my favorites are the chests in instances, even first level 60 instances in outlands chest's
drop 5 gold. Sure you normally have to share this loot with a group, but if you are a rogue or
druid you can farm them like mad, hence the mechenar chest farming spree hit wow.
If you are decently geared you can normally 2-3 man up to the first chest in an instance get the
gold and loot and head out, rinse and repeat. This may sound really shameful but there are certain
occasions where you can bypass opening chests in instances until your group members are gone
and you come back to loot and get the full 5 gold +++.
Here are some techniques i used and are very effective:
+If you are a rogue and they ask you to open the chest for them, tell them your skill isn't high enough then come back later and open it.
-----Not many will go armory you or check you out and see if you are lying.

+If you are a profession that can make skeletal keys or bombs etc to open chests and there is no rogue just saw aww well that you forgot your key in the bank and come back later once the all hearthed.

+If you see a chest coming up and don't think your group members have seen it ye, try cause a bit of a diversion like make a slight mistake and nearly wipe.
-----E.G. Get agro on a mob over the tank and then pretend to be running away from the mob (but run past the chest further away from it, then your group members will probably come to you to aid you.
-----Hopefully in the diversion they were all concentrating on surviving they did not see the chest.
-----Another way is just to try hurry them up, like say you are very tight for time and the group needs to progress fast and just keep rushing them to move on, this might cause a wipe but use your own discretion here.

+If you do see a chest don't get all excited and rush to it or mention it, 40% of the groups I am in don't notice the chests, especially if we are tight on time or are good players just trying to say get badges in heroics etc and want to be the most time efficient.
+If you are a rogue or hunter or shaman or something and manage to survive a wipe (vanish, feign death, reincarnation, etc) While the others are running back try look around for the chests up ahead / behind you if you managed to bypass them and go loot quickly while your members are outside of the instance. If you are a shaman and they are expecting you to resurrect them just tell them to start running back while you get your mana up since you are out of drinks and it might take a while.
I know this sounds a bit of a shameful thing to do, sometimes it really is worth it if you are not running with friends or guild mates etc. I have gotten several blue items, 1 epic and numerous greens from instances.
Here is a slightly irrelevant tip on chest farming but the chests that spawn in instances, seem to share the “random drops” that the instance does. For example, its a well known fact that the 2 twink weapons assassin's blade and shadowfang both drop off random mobs in Shadowfang Keep. Sure wowhead and thottbot list different mobs with a higher drop rate, but honestly they really are random drops which can drop off ANY of the mobs in SFK. How ever, what a lot of people don't know is that these items can drop from the chests in the instance as well. There are normally 2 chests in SFK, sometimes both unlocked, sometimes both locked etc but believe me it is definitely worth opening them just to check incase.

*Earn gold with server transfers:*
As most of you are aware, with recent patches Blizzard has decreased the amount of xp needed to level by 30%! This has lead to many players starting new characters and taking advantage of this. I as a raider my self, find it hard to find time to level up an alternate character between grinding for repair bills and raiding. But now with this increased leveling speed I and many of my raiding friends have started leveling up alts in our spare time, sometimes taking a day or two of raiding just to power level our alts.
Naturally to make leveling faster and more efficient we are just buying all the best greens, blues, epics off the auction house so that we don't need to waste time instancing for gear.
So this brings me to the conclusion that the prices of useful blues and epics WILL definitely inflate enormously. I'm sure by now you have caught on to my money making scheme idea but for those who haven't here is it again:
1) One:Easier to level
2) Two:More people leveling up (mainly raiders and rich people)
3) Three:Want to buy items not instance for them
4) Four:Willing to pay a lot for blues and epics
5) Five:Price of current blues and epics about to go up a LOT.
Therefore I suggest you go to the auction house, and click sort by EPIC value and set the item level range to between 30 and 55. and if they are relatively priced and bid or buy them out, then either: keep them until you see a noticeable price increase over the next few weeks or immediately re-list them for 100 or so gold higher. (as in this is the normal average price for them, can use auctioneer for this but I am not going to explain auctioneer usage since there are tons of guides about it here on mmowned)
Here is an example.
I go to the auctioneer in one of my factions main cities E.G. Stormwind of Ogrimarr and I search all the items of EPIC value between the level range of 30 and 55.
I find a decent buy:
Hammer of the Northern Wind for 80 gold Bid, 120 gold Buyout
I keep it for a week and I notice that the prices of Hammer of Northern Wind has been bumped up to an average price of 150 gold Bid, 200 gold Buyout. I wait for that one to sell then I re-list the one that I originally bought for 310 gold bid 320 gold Buyout.
Thus giving me a 200 or so gold profit.
Now, there is another method that you can use in conjunction to this method, something that I do often and is EXTREMELY profitable is:
If I am wanting to transfer one of my characters from one server to another, I go look at the prices of epics on my current server. I then go compare the prices on other servers, finding a server where the general price for epics is a lot more than my current servers prices. Generally the server type, server age, server population and server progression has a lot to do with the item prices on their auction houses.
With this method I normally look for the following things:
High level enchanting materials
High level reputation items
High level cloth
Blue gems (cut and uncut)
High and Low level Epics
High level rares (blue quality items)
High level ore
High level herbs
And other items that are vital components in making high end level epics, items, transmutes and so on.
Then I spend several thousand gold on the items that I think will be the most profitable and stock up until I have enough. Then I transfer my character to that server using A) paid character transfer or the B) Free character migration system if available.
These two methods, especially when combined will earn you THOUANDS and I mean THOUSANDS.
I have done this over and over and it has been a success each time. I guarantee that this is one of the most effortless methods to making MASSIVE sums of money.

*Reputation BOE hand-ins*
If you think about it, apart from gold, epics and hot night elfs lap dancing at SW fountain reputation is another thing that makes the World...of Warcraft go round.
When most people hit level 70 there are three things that pop into their heads:
+Raid/do level 70 instances for gear
+Farm gold
+Level up reputations for access to heroic, better gear, profession patterns and recipes, head and shoulder enchants as well as just the general good feeling about being exalted.
So therefore BOE reputation items can become a very good money maker.
Here are some of the best selling level 70 BOE reputation items and some info about them:
In the thottbot links you can find where they drop and how much to sell them for, i won't go into detail.

*Cobra Scales Economised*
One of the most successful and fun ways I have found is to monopolise the World of Warcraft economy, namely the Auction House.
WoW -> Info - > Basics - > Auction Houses
For this example I am going to use :
Cobra Scales

For this you will need to be a:
Skinner

Cobra Scales suggested price range is 10-25g each depending on your server.
Thottbot: World of Warcraft suggests:

The easiest way to monoplize the AH is when you already have a few of the said items. So what we need to do it get a few hour of farming in action.
Cobra Scales drop off: (seldom drop, best way is to skin them)
Twilight Serpents in Nagrand

Coilskar Cobras in Shadowmoon Valley

At the bottom of the guide you will find maps and coordinates to these mobs.
*We need one or two stacks for Cobra Scales before we can get into business. This might take an hour or two depending on your luck, kill speed, downtime, farming competition and so forth.
*Once you have your supply of Cobra Scales, go to the auction house and make a search for Cobra Scales. Look at the results, it should give you an idea of how much they sell for. (Might help to ask your guild or in trade for some of them people who have a nice updated auctioneer or who often farm them).
*Then buy out all the Cobra Scales on the auction house and re-list them for about 10 gold higher, might help to only list a few stacks at a time and then a couple singularly as well, then each time you see someone has bought one, go re-list some more up.
*Now here is when the real monopolizing comes into play, you need to keep an eye out for anyone who dares to re-list cobra scales for cheaper than your, you need to buy those out immediately and then re-list them at your price or keep for future re-listing.
*This way you are in control of the average price, forcing people to start re-listing theirs higher and higher. Soon the average price will be as high as yours, and the best thing about this is, if you get bored of it, you can always undercut your normal price and sell for a few gold lower than the current going rate, as long as it is a bit more than what you originally bought them for.
Recap:
Step 1: Farm
Step 2: Acquire average price
Step 3: Buy them all
Step 4: Re-list for higher price
Step 5: Buyout all of the cobra scales in the next few hours/days that people re-list for lower than yours.
Step 6: [Optional] If you get bored, sell all the ones in your bags for slightly lower than the new price but higher than the original price.
I hope you all enjoyed and benefited from my guide, below you can find the promised links.

*Netherweb Spiders:*
Throughout World of Warcraft's existance, spider web of all sorts has always been a mysterious item. Its the kind of item you don't normally take notice of. On or drop drops while you grinding them stupid spiders for a silly quest and hey a spider silk/web dropped. "Yay! Another thing to add to my vendor pile."
How ever they tend to be very valuable and are used in numerous professions especially Tailoring.
*The item we are going to focus on today is:

Thottbot World of Warcraft: Netherweb Spider Silk
*Which are best found dropping from:
Thottbot World of Warcraft: Creature: Dreadfang Widow
Thottbot World of Warcraft: Creature: Blackfang Tarantula
These are a random drop from most spiders in outlands and have an average of 7-12% drop rate. On my server they sell for an average of 5-7 gold each and are constantly in demand.
*They are used for a high variety of craftable tailoring items:
+For one thing they are used to make:Thottbot World of Warcraft: Imbued Netherweave Robe which is an item MANY fresh level 70 casters and healers often buy to try upgrade their gear and it is always selling well.

+Another is that they are used to make:Thottbot World of Warcraft: Imbued Netherweave Bag and i mean what can i say... bags are CONSTANTLY in need for all levels with the influx of new characters being made and leveled since the reduced xp patch and before.

+They are even used to make epic sets!:Thottbot World of Warcraft: Frozen Shadoweave Robe Which is something many level 70 casters attain in order to gain adequate gear to start raiding and doing heroics.

So as you can see this Thottbot World of Warcraft: Netherweb Spider Silk is highly useful and gets bought constantly.

*Auction House Yet Again*

Now i know many of you see this and think "Oh gawd here we go AGAIN for 7th million time, hes gonna say the same old, same old: buy low sell high, use auctioneer blah blah blah"
BUT NO my friends, me saying that would be pointless as it is the most used pair of words under the "gold making" category and is the most trivial and irritating to some.
I would be willing to bet my level 70 that 80% of the people reading this guide have read the old auction buy low sell high guides over and over so I will not put my emphasis on that during this guide. All i shall be doing is giving you some guidelines as to what to look for and how to make your searches the most time efficient so you can get on with your life *cough* virtual life *cough*
Here are some search perimeters to use:
+Search on AH > Armor > Leather > level 15-19
----Searh the words in turn: "monk" "agil" "pow" "tig" - everything listed for under 1 gold buyout and relist for 2g99s
+Search on AH > Armor > Cloth > level 15-19
----Search for "eagle" - everything under 1 gold buyout and relist for 1g99s
+Search on AH > Weapon > Dagger > level 15-19
----Search for the words in turn: "agil" "pow" "stam" - everything under 1 gold buyout and relist for 2g99s
+Search on AH > Weapon > Sword > level 15-19
----Search the words in turn: "decapitating sword of the monkey/power/agility/tiger" -everything under 2 gold relist for 3g99s
+Search on AH > Armor > Mail > level 39-45
----Search the words in turn: "monk" "pow" "agil" - everything under 2 gold relist for 4g99s
+Search on AH > "Blood Ring", "Demon Band"
---- If they are under 1 gold relist for 4g99s
