I deleted my old "free" carbonite quest completely, and then put the files in the folder. Im running an Imac thus OSX so if it works fine for me it should also work fine for you as long as you properly remove the other files.

Well, there is carbonite-ads 2.58
it is free to DL, it doesnt expire or validate, just has a dumb carbonite popup ad.

So remove the ad from the code and presto?

Me? i just edited the graphics used for the ads and set alpha channel to be 100% transparent, but removal would be better.

Ok correction, i broke most of the ads.
Still searching for what it is using for the solid black and solid medium blue background.
Then ill obliterate those into invisibility as well.
