    Recalling an account legal problems?

    Recalling an account legal problems?
So I sold an account about 4 months ago for $250. If I recall it, will I get into legal trouble? He can't get the money back as its been 90 days already... he doesn't live in the US but instead in some far ass country... Am I safe? I mean its a game, there is always a risk in buying and selling .. what do you guys think?

What country, if hes in Netherlands you will most likely get into legal trouble.
Netherlands law states: virtual item(including accounts like wow has) = real item.
So it could be made into international court issue.

Any other country wont probably get you into any legal trouble

Indonesia finds stuff like chatting online, facebook etc. as a sin, so shouldnt be any legal problems.

He has my ID as well, lol.. any problem there? He is one of those buyers/resellers. I can say it wasn't me, as he has sold the account to someone else already ( The buyer doesn't have ID)
I can say whoever bought the account, tried to trade it.

Generally, they will try and scare you into thinking they can do something but can't. I have never heard of a case when anyones got into any trouble. But seriously stealing back an account after you've sold it is not really morally right especially for the price you got for it (I think I got about $150 for my epic character, that was a bit ago probably would get even less these days). At the end of the day it is your choice though

Isn't it stipulated in the EULA or TOS that the account and character technically never really are owned by the user and all ownership rights are retained by Blizzard. Thus, technically if he paid for the account he paid for something you were not entitled to sell and if you take back the rights to use the account you should be fine. That's just from my limited understanding though and I'll be happy to stand corrected.

    Ahem.

with a resounding voice, the most basic answer to your question is

    NO

foreign countries law's don't affect united states citizens unless you are somehow kidnapped by the person and dragged to that country.

second. In the u.s. virtual item is like selling a dream. nothing to worry about.
