Name Change Scam

So this is what i thought up when waiting for noobs to show up to the raid.

so basically as the title says its a name change scam simply creat a new level 1 char find someone who you want to scam (works good with medium level people probally 40-60)

then fllow the chat like this

you:OMFG dude i trasfred my 70 MS warrior here and i have to do a name change now cause you have my name
them:to ****in bad
You: ill pay you 40$ RL and 3000g in game if i can have that
Them:hmm...just for my name
You:yeah, please man im just so ****ing used to it please (sound reallydesperate)
themk how do we do it
you: ughh blizz has this new name change thing if yu want i can pay for u


hopefully if you play it right they may hand over the pass and stuff (maybe)
so you can "change" there name then simply tell em ok when i can log on my main gold is on the way

Even if did this work, there are 2 things.

1 is that there are people that won't believe you and just /ignore.

2 is that if they do believe you, the chances are slim that they actually know how they can do a name change, and chances are slim to that they have a credit card or something. Most of the time people just use a prepaid card instead of a credit card, and considering you need to have a cc to do a name change, I don't see this happening.

Beside that, I don't see the use of it or I just misunderstood it. You are trying to say that they will give you the acc name + psw so that you can do the namechange? Wouldnt it be more likely that they just change it theirselve instead of letting someone else changing it :confused:

they are suppose to give him acc name + password so he can log in, do the name change and stuff, i doubt anyone will do it but if my friend can sell a pipe in game "a grey colored item" for 20g this shouldn't be as hard.

The point in this scam (i think) isnt the name change, but getting the account, and rip it for gold. or anything, let them give thier Acc name and Psw, so you change Psw and log in and do what you need to do
