    Steal Accounts Like Nothing.

    Steal Accounts Like Nothing.
Credits to: Bossqwerty for his discovery.

How to: Steal Accounts... Like Nothing.
Preparation: Create a new Battle.Net account, or if you already have one you may use that as well (Although I advise to make a new one if you don't plan on transferring it off the account.)

    AIM (AOL Instant Messenger)

Recently Blizzard introduced Battle.Net for World of Warcraft which allows you to merge your World of Warcraft account with a Battle.Net account.

This allows you to do many things, for example change the last name of the account. What I found out is that if you talk someone into giving you their account and password, (for testing/confirmation purposes if you're pretending to buy an account) you can put that information into your Battle.Net account and merge the two together. You can also use your phisher accounts.

    What would this do?
    1. Changes his ACCOUNT NAME, and password.
    2. Changes his first AND LAST NAME.
    3. Changes his SQA.
    4. Changes his EMAIL.

    All like nothing.
Now you can go two ways here:
Transfer the account to your account. This will require you merging your own account into the Battle.Net account.

    -or-

Keep it on the Battle.Net account and not risk having any problems.

    ____________________________________________________________

I have not tested whether or not the original owner can call blizzard and undo it. I HAVE confirmed though, that:

I have a lot of flamers, therefor I'm updating this with my reply:
Ok. I'm sorry about this, but my intention was not, "Hey, let's scam the most smartest people in the world."

If a person is dumb enough to put their info into a phisher, they are more than likely dumb enough to not know what to do.

Sumo Stan: It won't ban your whole battle.net Account.

And to EgGs: Unless you're on my side, I do not see any "I didn't authorize this." in any of those emails. So I don't know why people keep saying that.
And to all the people who keep saying I can't transfer for 30 days: If two accounts are on the SAME Battle.NET account, You can transfer between those two accounts. You CANNOT, however, transfer OFF the battle.net account.
Third of all, people will freak out. The first thing they will notice is their account name has been "merged." and they cannot log in anymore. Second, they will check their email and get those two emails above (I even posted a screenshot saying the merge is FINAL, why would Blizzard put that on there if you can easily reverse it in your email?). Third, they will try to retrieve their password and/or change their email. They have to put in YOUR first and last name on the Battle.Net account, AND your own secret question. This is what I meant by "Change last name, first name, etc."

I acknowledge the fact that you probably can call Blizzard to undo this. Here is my solution:

Have a credit card and transfer the character off the account. After you do that, ban the account and call Blizzard yourself to take that account off your Battle.Net account, saying that since it's banned there's no use of it being on there. There you go, clean and simple.
I don't know how I'm able to show screenshots that show that I have the right character on the right battle.net account, but I'll try.
(by the way, I know most of you are mad and flaming me because this has been posted many times(?), but I searched, and I even look on this particular section daily at the most. I did not see any Battle.Net threads.)

Here are my pictures showing that the account information has changed. What I mean is you have to put in totally different information to recall your account via Internet/WoW Page.

Considering there is a 30 Day wait time, dont think you could get it x-fered in time.
You can transfer characters immediately if both accounts are on the same Battle.Net account.

This can be reversed if you get the right person on the from Blizzard. Did it to test and got my account back 100%.
I suggest transferring it off the account then, and then calling Blizzard yourself to remove the account from the Battle.Net one

Doesn't work, I can confirm this. I merged a scammed account, and the next day I got an e-mail saying that it got merged with another account. There is probably some way to counter this, something having to do with sq or a phone call.

    Does not work.

Do your studying, first before posting for fast rep. You steal a user/pass account and merge it with your email it sends the original an email, and he can click "I didn't initiate this" and you will then lose the account.

You cannot transfer the toon for 30 days, and it DOES NOT CHANGE THE INFORMATION ON THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT TOON. READ THE INFORMATION THEY PROVIDE.

Merging accounts, It says, "It doesn't change the information of your world of warcraft account." You can have a battle.net account under Johnson and your Wow Account still is Smith.

    Fail Thread, Bleh.

Well.. They will notice that they can't login to their account via the same user name, all they need to do is call blizzard and then get it changed. Scrawl is right on what he said

Heh - I only posted it so rash because this is I think the second repost of this same thing. BOTH times people proved it wrong, I don't know why people think it's genious to just post it again. You can't keep the accounts through this method. I spent hours trying. I tested it thoroughly, on the phone with blizzard. It honestly is worthless...it's easier for them to get their account backs this way then it is changing email/pass and laughing. This way, Blizzard has admitted an error and have been just "WHat's the last name and sqa?" Ok it's changed for you, sorry about that!

This too. The most you could do is cost someone a lot of time.
