    Fake Upcomming Expansion Site Scam

    Fake Upcomming Expansion Site Scam
    Ok, this scam will take a lot of work i admit, but you will get a load of accounts and the scam wont run out of stupid people to fall for it for an extremely long time.

    What you need::
    A private server (owned by you)
    A Website with the ability to store usernames and passwords
    A Movie Maker to make a video for youtube
    Fraps or any screenshot/video taking program

    Go onto your private server and go to an area in WoW that is restricted from players, such as the Emerald Dream (Verdent Fields), Ironforge Airport, Wetlands Farms, Mount Hyjal, anywhere with a cool look to it that players cant normally go. Spawn NPCs that look like they match the area and rename them something convincing if they arent already named right. For example, if your in the Verdent Fields and you have a convincing looking night elf named Darkwrath, rename him something that suits the area more.

    Add scenery, lots of it to make the area look complete. Add herbs, minerals, ect. Remember not only to add friendly npcs, but enemies too. This should all be fairly easy up to now. If you dont know the commands, get them. Since we want to make the area look more convincing, add vendors with items that suit the area (item IDs can be found on many sites), and if your up to it add custom items.

    Shoot some screenshots and videos of the area, you killing mobs, buying stuff, as much as possible and make some youtube videos. Make each youtube video include the link to your site. Remember to add as much information as possible to your website. Now to scam the accounts-

    Post up a login screen that sayssomething like: "You must use your World of Warcraft login and password BECAUSE we need to test to see if your account is normal or sent by Blizzard to spy on us. You can choose to not login if you are concerned about your account security, which is why we have a small section of screenshots for those who dont log in" (add a section for that) "If you log in with a fake username and password, we will permanetly IP ban you from our website and you will not get to see any updates or very many pictures and information on the upcomming unannounced expansion, Nightmare of The Emerald Dream" So basically you are scamming people who want to see the upcomming expansion... incase you havent already guessed it, a phissure for all the account names and passwords will be needed.

    Remember to update the site every 3 weeks or so and to add new youtube videos. I hope this guide helped.

    Hmm, it has potential, but I dont think it would lift off the ground, as we only have what, a little under 3 weeks til the expansion. Just my opinion, but thanks for the contribution

    You could say it was hidden. Like, they announced Starcraft 2, and later they announced Diablo 3 and said they have been working on it since they announced starcraft 2 lol.

    I agree with alucard, great idea, not enough time! Maybe if there was more time, then yes, it would work well, but as we dont... good thinking, though
