A Great Scam I just thought up!

A Great Scam I just thought up!
First Off, Im terribly sorry if this has already been posted. Unfortunately, I did not search if it was previously posted because this scam just hit me as I was watching TV...I would hate to lose my train of thought...

    Now..Onto the Scam!

For this scam, you need to be able to talk smoothly and keeping calm...If this works, You can score a double whammy!

For me, Ive scored about 12 Accounts out Of 25 Attempts, but it all really depends on the person.

What you do, is Go into a Capital City and do a quick

    /who check

For the best results, I set up a macro for each

    /who Stormwind 70
    /who Ironforge 70

Start whispering Lvl70's and follow the next step...

Next you setup a new macro...A good one I use is

"Excuse me, Im sorry to be a bother, but would you be able to run me through (Instance Desired)...I have tried for almost an hour to get a group, but LFG is dead and other groups have told me my gear is terrible."

GRAMMER IS CRUCIAL HERE PEOPLE, TRY AND KEEP IT AS NEAT AS POSSIBLE...NOBODY WILL WANT TO HELP SOMEBODY THAT ENDS EVERY WORD WITH A Z...Thats just annoying

It helps if the instance Is NOT Ulda for the reason that it requires 3 people to open the boss door...Most 70's when they want to run would like to finish up as quick as possible...

Hopefully they will say yes...Next of course you invite them to the group.

As you start the instance, Start brown-nosing him a bit...

    Say things such as
"Ooh, cool gear man, thats 1337! :P"
"Sick crits man, I wish I could hit like that."

After you think you've done enough and the guy or gal seems to have warmed up to you a bit...Start casually talking to them...About WoW In general...I like to use the good ol' "Yo, have you heard about the new WoW expansion coming out, it looks SOO Cool!"

The ideal reaction would be somewhat excited

You: Hey, heard of the new expansion coming out?
    Them: yea, I cant wait!

As the run-through of the dungeon comes to an end, hopefully they will think higher of you than just that guy that I ran threw Deadmines.

With the people that I have scammed, they were nice enough to stay a few minutes after the run...Talk a bit...Right before he leaves, Say "hey, you're really cool...Whats your AIM? Yahoo, MSN (ANY MESSENGER WITH EMAIL)

If they tell you, GREAT! This is the whole scam...Once you have obtained it...Add it right away, Make sure it works

Let a few days go by and then launch the scam...it is your choice on which scam to pull on your victom...You can pull off the good ol' "Your account has been marked for trading" or you can do the new "Welcome to WoTLK Alpha testing!" Ill leave it up to you guys to decide...

The double whammy I was reffering to was 1) Getting a runthrough of the instance of your choice and 2) The possiblity of a WoW Account :P
Hope you enjoyed my post and remember to have fun!

    Enjoy everybody!

(Oh, and If I find out you copied my scam to another website without asking me VIA Pm first...Im going to be pissed.)

Given that an 'average' run takes 30 minutes or so (and this is thinking of something like VC) for a low level, the time spent really doesn't make up for the failure rate.

But, I guess it's a good way to get free exp/items from low lvl dungeons.

I would consider this a good 'intro', but the 'fishing' rate takes too long. Good idea though.

Not trying to argue, But I had a pally pull a hobbes move and pull the whole damn thing (VC) and we finished in about 10minutes...And yes...That was one of the ones I scored

Yeah, I've seen almost the same, with a pally, it was awesome, gave mad exp. I actually like the 2x scam you're giving, one where you're looking to lvl, two to try to scam. It's actually a very good idea, just the practicality of it is kinda low, given how long it takes to draw them in.

Good idea, and I can definitely see it happening.

Im not bugging for rep here, but if you say +rep...Actually do it...Dont just lurk the forums saying +rep meanwhile you might be just spamming your post count up to get to the forums.

I would have let this go if it was Orange or above, but I cant stand people who do that...

    Bingo. My thoughts exactly.

It'd be much easier to just go to a trading site or guild site or anything and just collect all the emails you see.

Verye...Although that might be faster...It is also MUCH Less efficient...I used to do scams like that alot....When I would sent my phishers out./...Several things would happen...

1)People would know Markee/Realpoor attract lots of scammers, so they would almost ALWAYS push it off as "LOL scammer."

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Meanwhile, with my scam....

    1) Hopefully, you are hoping that this person doesn't have their account listed for sale...Which is much better because they have not encountered the scams people will launch against them!
