This works amazingly well and I'm going to bump it.

Here's my take on it and how I did it:

Had 50 badges to start with, had some primal nethers lying around, bought a few more and started with having 10 in reserve.

Went to the badge vendor in Shattrath, started streaming a movie and opened another wow window with another account that I gave the nethers to hold. Bought 5 nethers from the badge vendor with the 50 badges I had. Then of course I opened a ticket for a GM with the following:

Dear GM, I've been having latency problems lately since the patch and I was in Shattrath so my fps is pretty choppy. I've gone to buy a primal nether from G'eras the badge vendor and then decided I didn't want to, I've accidently hit yes to purchase the item and lagged out and bought 5 by mistake using all my badges. If possible I would like my badges restored using a restoration if possible.

Waited around for the GM to contact me etc. got them restored and everything, said cya later to the GM and that was done. Then I traded 5 nethers from my other account to my character and sent in the same ticket. Everything went as planned until this GM escalated my ticket. So I waited around for that to be escalated and then I'll do the same thing again with the other 5 nethers I have.

I'm going to go ahead and say that yeah there isn't actually a limit to how many restorations you get. I've had countless restores on my account for different things from time to time. GMs only say this so that people don't abuse the system like this. GMs do have the right to not to restore items for any reason though.

Anyway, great idea and hopefully I've clarified anything.

So servers went down and I logged back in to find that I had my restoration in my mail, 50 badges along with the 5 nethers I had in my bag, I just found that odd that they took those and put them in the mail lol. Anyway because this was an escalated ticket they felt the need to send me an email about it.

"We urge you to use extreme caution when selling items, repairing items, or deleting characters. Since we have made repeated restorations of virtual property to this account in the past, it is very likely that future requests to reverse losses will be denied."

Proof there pretty much isn't a certain limit and they just use it so it isn't abused imo.

Good idea. BUT isn't there a limit to how many times you can refund items??
