[SCAM] Free pay time cards

Searched for this, but couldn't find anything similar so hopefully this is a new one for you all.

This scam requires a bit of skill when communicating with people, and also a bit of luck.

(Skip this step if you can't be bothered to move) First off head down to your local games store, every few days if possible, and try and work out when the dumbest person is working. Generally these people are horrifically obese, play halo 3 all day, and have more craters on their face than the moon.

Once you've worked this out you need to get the phone number of the place (try and do this without speaking to the dumbass).

Now what you want to do is wait until the thicko is working. Then you phone up and say something along the lines of;

You - "Hi there, is that Store XXXXX on Street XXXX, post code XXXX?"

Dumbo - "Yes thats us, how can I help you?"

You - "I'm phoning on behalf of blizzard entertainment (or who ever makes the play time cards) and we have had several complaints about game time cards from your store. We are looking into the issue, but we think we may have sent you a faulty batch of cards due to the printing machine.... *bulls**t away here*.... I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to tell me the codes on the back of 5 cards, if any of those 5 are faulty we'll know if you got a bad batch or not"

You - "Ok I'm just running those codes now (make typing sounds)......"

You - "Hmmm... the patch appears to be acceptable, thanks for you co-operation...." *wrap it up*


I've not tried this before, but I have 2 mates who have tried it and managed to pull it off, so good luck.

Two bits of advise are use a public pay phone, and check there are not cameras around (never know how greedy a company might be in trying to catch the person who caught them out).

Also once you have done this, try again the next day if you were successful on other people, chances are they might not have been warned about it yet.
