Question about banwave.
My account was banned 6 months ago in the may banwave. I only used the bot for leveling alts.
Now my question is, will blizzard remove my gold, characters levels or what? once i get unbanned.

All gold will at least be removed. Your characters/level of them wont be affected.

If you used the bot to level then they won't really remove anything. If you were selling gold or bot farming where u sold it and transfered gold then it's most likely gone.

As HunterHero has said the are unlikely to remove any gold, items, currency or even the characters you have leveled.
Basically, they only do this when they feel that the gold/items/currency you earned were done so with a bot. For most people, Blizzard will mention in the email they send you if they have removed anything or not. If they haven't said this then you can be reasonably sure that this stuff is intact when you return.
For example, I had a GM confirm for me that nothing was removed from my 4th account that caught in the ban wave.
You should still be able to check this stuff via the wow armory or wowprogress.

Im sorry to say that both HunterHero & Smilmoar are both incorrect. In the new bans (6 months etc) they remove everything, all gold, all currencies. Makes no difference what you were banned for either. Had it happen to me on an account with quite a 000000's of gold on them collectively. all gone because of HB. win some you lose some i guess. sorry buddy
*edit Just to say mine was also used to level alts and nothing more. sucks right?

Yeah, i only know because i had two friends banned in last years ban and they were stripped of all gold. Its basically a way for them to earn extra cash by making people sub back into their accounts, instead of using gold they already had. Heres 2 threads anyway about one of the other 6 month bans, where they are discussing logging in afterwards:
All gold removed after 6 months ban
This 2nd one at the back pages, you'll see people complaing also
Nov 13 Coming Soon - Page 13
Why they are complaining i have no idea, a bit of gold removal is nothing considering they could have just perma banned everyone instead.

Same here, all 6 month bans on my accounts had all currencies removed.
Characters, levels etc weren't affected.

I contacted a GM about my main account that got banned and he said nothing will be removed.

I wouldnt believe the word of the gm, most of them are clueless :P
It even says we will in the email they sent out, plus some people with tickets from the hb forum have also been told they will. Still, we have over 5 months till we see so i guess we'll have to wait.

Well, I was told the same thing by a different GM, as per my previous post. And in lieu of concrete evidence to the contrary, I am going to say that not everyone has had their stuff removed as per our previous comments. :/

The GM said I had some gold removed but not all of it. I still have 687k on my shaman etc. The armory shows so and so does the WoW app.

Yeah the GM for me stated that nothing was removed from me except for 2x bonus roll tokens. Sadly I cannot see my current gold on any of my characters via the WoW app - but this is an issue with the app and my phone that existed long before any bans or suspensions, so I am unable to check myself.
Not that this account had much to lose in the first place - only 37K or something. My millions are all safely stashed :P
My point was that they don't just grab everything including the kitchen sink unless they can link it to what you were doing with the bot.

Back in a time in WoD I got banned, I used a enhancement shaman pvp profile with Honorbuddy, was at the bot at all times, ince it was only rotation really. After 2 weeks I got hit in a HB banwave a neer went back to HB. And back then, they cleared EVERYTHING. all currencies, and I lost some pvp items on that 1 shaman. But gold and honor from all chars, even ones that havent been used in over 3 years.
Another story, back when we had Love is in the air, a friend of mine used his mouse to make a a macro, that pressed a button "randomly" every 2-2,5 second. He had made a ticket the night prior, and that is 100% what lead to a investigation into his account. But he didnt lose gold or anything, even got to keep the mounts he had bought. I wonder if the difference here was that one was detected by Warden, and the other simply stupidity?

If they haven't taken it by now then it will likely stay.
If you log into the WoW community site you can also access the auction house tabs which will event let you see what items you have in your inventory.
