How does one generate store mount keys?

Just bought today a few store mounts for a few 20k's I had lying around. Got a key straight in my face I then typed in on the website, got the mount dropped in my inv straight away on the newer ones, the older ones came via mail after exiting the game. Grinning reaver came double, dropped in my inv and got it unclaimed in my mail (possibly on all other toons now aswell, if it works like hitching post).

I wonder how does one generate these store codes - as gifts - and then freely distribute it?

I am on this forum long enough that I know I will not get the fully information, rather bits to stress my own intelligence or references how it has been done in the past and how it still works and so forth - I am fully okay with that and gladly appreciate it

How does one generate store mount keys?

Random number generators deciding based on an algorithm or many of what each code character should be. Was going to give you more, but you said to test your intellect

well I did not put any end to what you can or want to share^^ also there is a pm function since I was partially involved into that kind of action, using game time codes to potentially work with tcg codes in bb, I know abit about whats going on. But that contact was so shady (at least I felt because it being so "unusual" maybe) that I gave up on him so I use the term potentially, because our agreement stressed my ability to believe in something I have no control over, pure potentiality, to Such a degree that I simply gave up and left.

Now looking back to the moment and what he shared and I found to be useful, was such an exciting time, I never had before in gaming in general. Not gaming and experiencing the game as its created and value put into certain gated processes, but actually how mechanics work and that when having understood, can create virtually Anything.

No longer being the guy chasing things to translate them into gold, no, rather being the one creating value / currency with the press of a single button. That is what impressed me the most. Can only continue, regardless of how many mental and emotional walls I apparently hold

your first experience with coding should not be solving an algorithm for store mounts. Consider a simple "hello, world"

did that and also followed guidelines on best what not to get involved into right from the start (my attitude picking the hardest difficulty right from the beginning, believing it holds the greatest value / most direct path to a goal) - continued with basics but it felt so dry that I literally fled. Well it was a few years back

Aren't those trade chat people selling store mounts usually just using a credit card and they chargeback after you pay for it?

One way (and probably one of the only ways without hacking the server) is to get a bunch of working keys for the same item. Then, do a TON of analysis on the keys to try and determine a pattern. Then, once you think a pattern has been found, generate a key. If it works, GREAT! Generate another and see if you just got lucky. If not, then you probably haven't correctly determined the algorithm for generating the keys. Look for more patterns and repeat the process.

This was done forever ago by a VERY smart person, and he/she was able to get around an 80% (iirc) success rate on generating game time keys. The biggest issue now is that these generated keys are very unlikely to work, as a key is now only activated upon purchase, so you would need to generate a purchased key, and use it before they do.

TL;DR, this is virtually impossible, especially for a novice.

Have you ever approached a topic seeing yourself already at what you wanted to get out of? This speeds everything up. If one sees oneself as a novice, one has to climb and fall multiple levels of mind, just to ultimately realize a) it was never so hard in the first place and b) what is no so different to the beginning - answer: blockages in ones mind of what is apparently only possible

Would be self-explanatory if any of those mounts then getting deleted out of the mount tab. You see assuming brings one only so far... until that very fact would happen. Its not guaranteed. And there are other possibilities of which I have in glimpses (but still!) already experience with. So I can call everyone wrong making the statement that duping does not exist, without him or her having any experience with the issue what so ever (except shallow research and never personally touched the subject themselves). Duping is in the game. But it is different than one would think

Edit: Yes, was removed by Blizzard, all mounts that I have purchased today - /learn, dont buy them from announcements in the chat

I explained why it IS possible, but you need to be EXTREMELY lucky to generate a key that was literally just purchased and not yet used, and VERY smart to even begin creating a generator for it. I'm not saying you can't do it because you aren't smart enough or it isn't possible... I'm saying that creating this is extremely time consuming, impractical, and nearly useless. Even if you do get a valid key generated, the key may already be used or inactive since it hasn't been purchased yet.

You forget one thing. This is not problem of programming, because programming number generator based on pattern is easy and can be done in few minutes. Your problem lies in field of math because you need discover function (algorithm) that give you right key. Implement it in some programming language when you have working algorithm is job for a novice.

If you want train your skills on something very similar try Cryptoanalysis http://www.root-me.org/en/Challenges/Cryptanalysis/ or just plain Programming http://www.root-me.org/en/Challenges/Programming/

Yes, he will lose the mounts and be out his gold whenever the charge back on the seller's card (or stolen card) goes through. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Sorry dude.

I will have a look, thank you.

Yes, see above edit: Got removed by Blizzard. Lost around 100k total, had nothing else to do with it anyway, so yeah "learning money" Achievement counter remained as if I still have the mounts

Edit: Hitching post remained in the toy box window. So basicly I bought it for that amount of gold, which is hilarious

Scammers buying gametime, expansion and mount codes from the chinese resellers here on the forum in bulk for 0.5-1$ each. Then "sell" them ingame to the silly players, who are not aware of the scam.
No actual chargeback/refund or anything like that is performed on their end. They just get codes, which are active till the end of the day.
