How do you instantly logout without an innkeeper nearby?

I am curious, is there a way to instantly get back to the char select screen?

The only "trick" I know of is holding a 2nd client ready with the login details already filled in and once you want to jump to another char quick you simply press enter. It disconnects the other client and logs you in to the char select screen with the 2nd one.

Aint there a macro or something to do this easier?

A macro to disconnect yourself? Then you could have your password copied to clipboard and paste it, then just login and go on If you need a dc macro, I think this one works pretty well still:

exactly. you can do this by having a 2nd client open, like mentioned and then logging in, it dc's the primar client and you can log straight in to your prefered toon. works 3-4 times in a row for me. then you have to close and re-open the game. this is super handy farming tanaan rares
