Is there a way to verify a redeem code without activating it?

Unfortunately not. Blizzard do not provide such service and anything else you find would likely steal the key. The only way of verifying a code is by using it yourself.

it is, once you type in the code it asks you to "confrim what account" you want it on, just hit cancel and it should work to use again. as you never 100% redeemed it.

So getting 2 WoWs on the battle.net account should get me a confirmation screen...
