B.net Name Change -> Account Merge

I'm wondering all of what I'd need in order to change the name on a battle.net account so that I can merge it with my current account. A friend of mine quit playing WoW, and I don't really want to see his awesome level 90 warlock rot :P

His name and mine are entirely different, so that could pose problems. I'm unsure if he has original CD keys, but I have mine, which of those would be needed? And I was thinking of maybe going with a story like he's my brother but was adopted, or he died in a car accident. Idk yet. And is it possible to switch characters across WoW accounts if they're on the same battle.net account? Because I'd rather not pay for 2 WoW accounts, if that's what I'd have to do in the end it wouldn't even be worth the time and effort to merge the accounts. Thanks in advance!

Blizzard is *extremely* restrictive when it comes to changing names on an account. Not to destroy your hopes, but don't get your expectations up, Your chances of success are slim. Good luck!

There is some way that you can try of a middle account. like your acc - middle acc - your friend acc. its GM involved, but we did it 3-5 times in total and we got success. but its only for char transfer from your acc to his or from his account to your. and its double transfer price. like 20euro x2. for char transfer your surname(lastname must be same) no need to be first name same. if you need some support - contact me in skype.
