[Question] World of Warcraft as a Folder/Program

So i have a basic knowledge of how things work, but recently i have been getting more lag than anyone else in my house. Which caused me to try to investigate as much as i could.
I noticed that when i updated my WoW to the retail version, it had updated my 3.3.5a folder instead of the original. So when i went through programs to delete unused ones like i sometimes do, i noticed WoW wasn't anywhere near the top of the Size list.
Could this be one of the affecting factors of my high ms?

I never go below 300 on Home or Global ms
Most of my time, i am running around 2000-3500 Global ms.

Any other tips are welcome, or if need be i can move this thread somewhere else.

    Thank you
    - Shind

Your lag in-game has nothing to do with the installed files on your hard drive for WoW. It's all to do with your internet connection.

So there is no difference in if it has installed as a program or not?

The only difference it would make is if your harddrive is a complete mess and is so fragmented that read/write times are extremely high. But the chances of this being the case is negligible.

Thank you Harry, can't wait to get back on CU.

All of the lag is fairly recent. Still trying different ways to fix it, its gone down by 1000ms in BGs so far.
