[LEAK] Possible major patch coming before we see MoP release!

Rumors have been circulating around the internet that started with a blue post on the blizzard forum that was quickly deleted about a possible major patch BEFORE 5.0!

It is speculated and hinted at that this new patch would introduce a "placeholder" raid (kind of like Ruby Sanctum or Sunwell Plateu). This raid will most likely feature the naval battle between the horde and the alliance that later leads to us discovering the pandarens.

It hasnt been offically announced by blizzard but was leaked by a blue member for a short amount of time.

Normally I wouldnt buy into it but it makes complete sense lorewise... and having played MoP beta I know that it is nowwhere near finished so they are GOING to have to do SOMETHING as a placeholder, as people are already burned out on deathwing.

(NOTE that I dont have a lot of information about this, as it was only a speculation and alledgedly a leak by blizz that was deleted.. I am not claiming to know this 100% or trying to farm views... just sharing what I heard by a reputable source that works for a magazine)

Ya they did.... but they announced the same thing right before the launch of sunwell
They have released major patched more than one time when having trouble getting an expansion to launch

MoP is a total disaster.. nothing works and half of the major implementations isnt there
if they dont have some sort of filler raid everyone will quit.

This is absolutely untrue. MoP is fine -- this is what many games look like at this stage of development, and it's extremely common for WoW expansions to look like this in early Beta. There is zero indication of a "disaster" or that "nothing works". Furthermore, more than "half of the major implementation" isn't in Beta yet, so you wouldn't have any clue where the development of it actually is.

I call BS. Please provide a link for where a Blizzard employee said MoP is in trouble, or is having significant problems, or anything that remotely resembles "a total disaster", "nothing works", and "everyone will quit".

And yes, I'm there will be a major patch before MoP....there will be the MoP pre-launch patch, just like there was the pre-Wrath (3.0.2) and pre-Cataclysm (4.0.1) patches.

Yeah agree with CastSeven and Vengfull , the last patch will probably be 4.4 which features some new things that will be in MoP.
Like before Catac when they announced Holy Power etc,

Nah, Cata was 4.0.1, it'd be like 5.0.1 or something.
That post says they don't have it planned, but that was also posted early march / late feb.

I've been wondering about this giant gap of time from 4.3.3 coming out to the release of MOP. I was thinking wont players get bored with the same content over and over again. i feel this is part of the reason why they threw in the new Scroll of Resurrection benefits as an attempt to try and keep things new without having to release a new patch. I would much like to see a new patch but as for speculations like this ill believe it when i see it and right now theres nothing to see haha. All in all though i do beleive there will be a patch leading up to the release like there always has been just like Castseven said.

It could be true, when we are thinking back before MoP was officially announced there was a leak ( no1 actually though it is true )

The Fire Shao'din Pandaren have a choice of sagely beards and wise facial features, while the Shadow Shao'din Pandaren are slightly taller and appear more vicious.
Blizzard wanted to give the Alliance another "unethical" or "shadowy" race to balance the storyline out.
The expansion focuses greatly on the conflict between the Alliance and Horde by proxy of their new Pandaren allies.
Deathwing's Shattering is what initially caused famine and disease to consume the island of Pandaria. The Shadow Shao'din took a very direct approach to handling the problem, and this meant wiping out the sickly members of the population in large numbers. The Alliance does not initially understand the brutality of the Shadow Shao'din.

it would be nice i must admit im getting tired of this stuff...

and they need a push for MoP - there is a large croud that dosn't like the idea's of pandas, so having a filler might get them into it

during blizzcon last year - they did talk about a ship battle and winding up on the shores...

When exactly do you think we will experience said ship battle?
