I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this, but I couldn't find anywhere else, so if it needs to be moved let me know.
I've recently installed Cataclysm and decided to set up my own server, which requires 4.0.6. Due to something about an internet filter, I can't use the launcher, so I've always used patch mirrors. I had no problems patching up to 4.0.1a, but once I tried installing 4.0.3, I got this error:
The file "patch.cmd" in archive "C:\Users\Desktop\Folders\World of Warcraft\wow-patch.MPQ" could not be opened, because an error 2 occurred. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (MPQFile::OpenFromArchive)
The patch mirror I used gave me an MPQ file, and I did all the instructions, including changing the file name to, 'wow-patch.MPQ', and then running the Blizzard updater. I've also tried putting it in my Data folder and running it, as well as the Update folder. It all gives me the same error, and I'm stuck. Some help would really, really be appreciated.
Also, my friend has the same problem, and his launcher works fine, it's just really slow for him, so I know that my problem isn't with my launcher not working. We both get the same exact errors, so it must be something we're doing wrong?
