RAF question

Hey, I am going to be doing RAF soon with one of my mates. I will be recruiting him, we are just curious as to how we actually get his account from a trial to a paid subscription.

Would he be able to do it online through account management?
Would have have to buy vanilla wow again and use that code inside the box?

EDIT: Also what would be a good class to level with a rogue (has to be either Priest, Lock or Shaman)

From the official FAQ:

I love this game and want to continue playing!

Once the time on your trial expires you will need to upgrade to a retail account to continue playing. To do this, you will need to log into your Account Management page to use a new retail Authentication Key. The Authentication Keys come in copies of World of Warcraft which can be purchased from retail stores or on the Blizzard Online Store.

So yeah you must buy a Vanilla WoW Account. As for the leveling imo a healer will grant you faster dungeon times.

okay and would i be able to use my heirloom staff on my character still and we would both get 3x xp ?

I'm not sure if I understand you well but heirlooms stack with the 3x XP iirc.

CAUTION! Be very careful when setting up his account. Make sure you are link before you pay for anything! I have had an issues twice now where it upgrades the bliznet 3 times making 3 accounts and my friend upgraded the wrong one!

So use caution! And make sure they are linked before upgrading him from a trial!

I think we are linked, we have just level to 15 together with him on the trial. He is going to upgrade that account.
