Is there anyone from Europe here which have gotten into the Cataclysm beta?
If so, is there any way you could tell me who sent you the "congratulations!" mail?
As I keep getting loads of phishing mails from Blizzard Entertainment it would be cool if they actually sent the mail with something else so i know which mails to ignore and which mails to harvest.

Yes, some people are granted access to the beta through promotional opportunities, because they're a part of our fansite program, etc. These invites still make up an incredibly small percentage of the total number of people invited this week. Also, it's been a couple of days since beta started. We will be inviting thousands of people just about every week -- provided we have the room for more testers -- to join the Cataclysm beta.

I just found the deDE downloader, but i cant load anything with it :/

Is it really personalized? I've never seen Blizzard use personalized executables so far. Could someone else who's in the beta please post the MD5 hash or another checksum of this file please?

The download is indeed personalized. I tried with getting the client from a friend and it said 'Download not authorized' you have to go to bnet and press the icon yourself, it dont matter if its on a freinds account, the .exe just cannot be resent.

You still can grab torrent file from downloader and use it with any torrent client...
