If you still have the damaged phone you could try removing the microSD card and reading it with a card reader(I'm not sure if thats where the authenticator info is stored, I think it depends on the phone). If it is on the phones built in memory, recovery will be significantly more difficult but should still be possible.
Remember these steps after dropping a phone (or any electronic equipment) into water.
Step 1: remove from the water as quickly as possible
Step 2: remove the battery as quickly as possible
If the battery is removed within say 15-30 seconds after the device is immersed in water, you have a much, much better chance of washing/drying and recovering the device.
If you have something like an I-Phone where the battery cannot be quickly removed, then I am sorry, you are screwed.
Step 3: If the device was dropped into dirty or highly chlorinated(like a pool) water, you MUST rinse the device very thoroughly with distilled water(maybe even soak it for a bit).
Step 4: If you have access to a vacuum or dehydration chamber, you are in luck, I recovered a phone dropped in water in less than 6 hours by putting it in a vacuum chamber.
If you do not have access to a vacumm or food drying chamber, you are in for a long wait. Dismantle the device as far as possible and let it dry fro at least a week. With any luck after all this you can have at least partial functionality of your device(hopefully enough to get your data off)
