It's still a very buggy client, remember it. The sandbox still gives you the possibility to explore all :-)

Alot of zones start lagging and give me errors, ashenvale for example

Updated Sandbox Filebeam - Beam up that File Scottie!

I get a "Failed to bind realm port" error when trying to run this, even as an administrator.

How would I find out which ports the cataclysmsandbox.exe is trying to use, and how do I allow the program to use them?

Edit: Strange, it works now, and I hadn't even made any changes...

But for future reference, how would I go about changing which ports programs do/don't have access to?

reinstalled wow. Updated to 3.3.3. tried the alpha client. It gave me this - http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4040/...29656f68_o.png


Figured something must have gone wrong with the install, or maybe it needed 3.3.0, or even 3.3.2, So I reinstalled. Tried it on 3.3.0, then on 3.3.2, same result. Any ideas guys?

My problem is when I log in and I get's "connected". I start CataclysmSandbox first then The Cataclysm Beta. Last sandbox works. I've also got the Win7 64-bit .dll files.

Just logon with a fake email and fake password and download the patch

I finally made it. Now my problem is that I start with no spells, no cloths, nothing. I have downloaded the spell thing at mmowned's frontpage, but dunno how make that work.

If you're expecting to play a sandbox like an emu server or live... you're in the wrong place.

The sandbox is SOLELY for exploring. The client is buggy to begin with, and we have a haggard reroute to simply allow you to 'log in' and view the world. Nothing else will be usable as there is no server.

In every case you can still check the talent tree of every class. :-)

So the 2290 is better than Tom Rus' Sandbox? The same area, right? Or tell me the difference :-)

Okay, I have 3.3.3a EU WotLK client installed. Do i have to download the whole Cataclysm alpha client or can i just copy/upgrade files from the WotLK client?

Simple difference: you can't use the 2290 with the new Alpha patch. It doesn't work anymore. So you need to use the Tom Rus sandbox :-)
