Downloading

Installer:

enUS: WOW-Cataclysm_Beta_enUS-downloader.torrent
enGB: Cataclysm Pre-Release 11927 enGB.rar (thanks to P1raten!)

Sandbox: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
(This emulator is a VERY buggy one)

works really well!

Instructions:
Step 1: Download the installer then run the exe file
Step 2: Install Cataclysm (using the installer)
Step 3: Go into "WoW beta folder/Data/realmlist.wtf" and change the first line to "SET realmlist localhost"
Step 4: Run sandbox.exe and run WoW.
Step 5: Log in with the same NAME and PASSWORD (ex. Account Name: Xel, Password: Xel)

great but that patch notes are fake , they got posted around february

The patch notes aren't real by the way, considering they were posted months ago on game stop forums.

It says alpha, when so far Blizzard hasn't said it once. In fact they've called it beta more, or just Friends and Family.

Friends and Family just began two days ago.

It's nice to have all the info gathered on one place.

As I said on another thread, earlier today I tried to download a SC2 patch (I got a legit beta key) and couldn't do it. After a quick search I realised that SC2 downloader uses "hxxp://us.tracker.worldofwarcraft.com:3724/announce" as well, so I'd guess it's safe to assume the hash link was real, and Blizzard shut off their downloader services for a while to remove the client.

A few minutes ago I tried again and now the patch is downloading, but at a very slow speed (even by Blizzard Downloader standards). Don;t know the significance of that but my guess would be the client isn't reachable by this hash anymore.

I bet the tracker is down because of the US maintenance. I will keep trying this hash in a few hours to see if it works when everything will be back, and I suggest you to do the same.
