Bnet Question

I just merged my wow account to a new battle.net account.
All legit.

I have been thinking, if you pay someone to powerlevel you, when you are not bnet merged, can they just merge your details to a bnet account and steal your account? Or is there a way this cannot be done?
Another time is playing on a mates account to help him out, could you just merge it to your bnet account and steal their account?

Seems unsafe if this is true. But i guess, giving your login details is unsafe.

yes, you can merge any account to your bnet just with name and password

but the owner can just call blizzard and get it un-attached
