[discussion] safe speedhacking

Just wanted to share my experience and ask for advice.

I'm using Cheat Engine 5.4 (latest afaik) when i want to speedhack. Never been caught until now couse i'm only doing it alone in instances or when stealthed, but i got 3 day ban 2 days ago. And here is why: I was showing a rl friend how to speedhack and we were doing it on his account on 2 of his characters. Then he relogged into my account couse i wanted to check something out with my char. Speedhack was set at 1.0 at the time (normal speed, but CE5.4 still on in the background). And after few minutes i just got dc and ban for using 3rd party software, didn't even speedhack on my char lol, it was just neutral in background.
My friend's account didn't get banned or anything.

So i figured warden checks for programs such as CE when on loging in via login screen, not just when the game is being run.

So now warning has been placed on my acc and i rly don't wanna risk any further stupid mistakes.

I'm running CE5.4 in stealth mode, so it doesn't show up in process list of task manager.
I noticed one more thing, after turning off CE and trying to run wow, warden detects it and doesn't let the game run ("warning, intruder alert splash screen") - meaning once CE is run pc needs to be restarted to be able to play again. So i was thinking, getting dc while speedhacking and logging back in could be detectable then? So if you get dc while speedhacking you gotta restart your pc to resume playing safely? I'm using vista btw, dunno if that could have anything to do with CE not wanting to completly shut down.

anyone got any idea on how to get around this? Is some other program more safe for speedhacking than CE? I know there are more but I haven't tried any other yet.
