Oh my ... GAADD! CC Fraud!

    Hey people,

Well a few weeks ago (probably 3-6 weeks), my mate scammed a WoW account of some guy that lives in Perth, Australia. It was a clean cut scam having changed the e-mail, home address (To a fake), contact number, getting SQA etc. but the thing is the game time was running out and, because the credit card details of the scammed person was still there, my mate charged an extra six months on it.

Anyways, while we were playing on the account, we received threats from the guy's mates that were pretty serious but we thought nothing of it.

Then a few days ago... BAM!
I try to log in and it says the account is banned. I log into the WoW website and find out the details of why the account got banned and the list was that of:

    - Scamming
    - Misuse of ToU
    - Providing false information on the account
    - Fraudulent use of registered user's credit card

After reading this, it read on to say that Blizzard will be delving deeper into the matter and hoping to resolve this conflict.

My question is, will my friend be in serious trouble for this? We live in Australia too, just in another state but will they try and find us?

    I seriously need your help!

Oh my ... GAADD! CC Fraud!

Your friend won't be charged anything serious since what your friend have done is just breaking the civil law, not the criminal law. If they really come to get you all you'll got is that you'll have to pay him his money back along with some more money fines, but that's all. So nothing to worry unless you don't have money.

No, as long as HE attached the Card, then it's not fraudulent, you had nothing to do with the card, you just

    - Scamming
    - Misuse of ToU
    - Providing false information on the account

    You didn't touch on the

    - Fraudulent use of registered user's credit card

Which is the only thing that could be demonstated as breaking a law.

Blizzard are just trying to scare you.
Think about it, thousands of scams going on all day everyday, and yet the only thing blizzard has done is sue glider, because it has made millions of dollars.

    TL;DR

    DON'T WORRY!!!

In conclusion, you are a thicko.

He didn't ATTACH the card, which was my entire point.

So what if he charged an extra 6 months, blizzard refund it, and file a multi-million dollar case over a couple of dollars, I think not.

    TL;DR

    STFU

Adding 6 months from some other guys credit card? It's one thing to scam an account or a business, but to straight up take 100 dollars? I hope blizzard delves deeper and screws your "friend" over.
