tbh, WotlK launch date? is a good title. The questionmark makes it not contain the info for sure, so there is no misleading. If a mod confirms that this is good, then please, don't try to get your right...

There is a good possibility it's Diablo 3. From the diabloii.com website:

"With this week's speculation over the Blizzard teasers, more and more reports in the media, and numerous tips coming direct us at IncGamers from reliable inside industry sources in the past 24 hours, we now have confirmation from inside sources to say that Diablo 3 WILL be announced on Saturday at WWI Paris 2008. " This will happen at the WWI but the splash could still be SC2 or WotLK

The three games blizzard made. Starcraft, warcraft, Diablo.
So maybe there NextGen mmo or Project: Hyrda will be announced.

on second thought it could all lead up to the announcement of the...
The World Wide Invitational.
As it has runes and symbols from all the different game franchises.
The Protoss rune, the rune on Frostmourne, and the runes from Diablo.
Which means they will be announcing things that will relate to all three.

Seeing the video and checking the scenery, it is pretty obvious that it is WotlK. Check the ice, check the way it looks. It is wotlk.It has to be.

The last alpha update was launched, beta will start soon, and blizcon is comming up. It is wotlk.

that conclusion is flawed, starcraft2 was on the worldofwarcraft front page aswell for some time, hence it even has its own subforum on the official wow forums

The splash screen is for wow WTLK, the only reason there doing it now is cos there in the stages of placing all the new land buildings mobs ect... its basiclly just blizz's way of saying 'Its here we're doing get ready' give at the current rate the hole is going once its fully open beta will be running if it isn't by then. Its just atease to start the hype to get everyone 'gaging' for the expansion. And by the looks of this thread they've done there job well.
